Note: You may receive a message informing you that another sheet of paper is jammed elsewhere in the printer. If so, please open the front door and remove the toner cartridge. Also open the rear door of the printer (and the duplex option if a duplex unit is installed). Remove any and all jammed sheets of paper you find. Then try printing again.
Note: To complete steps 1-3 above, it may help to lay the printer on its side. If you do this, please use caution when lifting the printer. Remove the toner cartridge and the paper tray before setting the printer on its side. Also make sure the printer is powered off and unplug any and all cords, especially the power cord, going into the printer. Refer to the photos below for guidance on where to look into the printer for the feed rollers. The rollers are located in the area of the printer highlighted by the yellow circles.
If not, try printing again with plain copy paper. Certain specialty papers - letterhead stock, label stock, and card stock - can promote jamming. Testing the printer with plain paper will eliminate special media as part of the cause of the jamming. Even if this special paper has worked fine in the past, please test the printer with plain copy paper before arranging to have the printer serviced.

Thanks for using FixYa. Switch off the printer and pull out the plug from the power socket and mains. Switch it on again after 10-15 minutes. Open and close the doors and remove the toner cartridges and re-insert them after 5 minutes. The printer give a paper jam error when switches aren't activated at the right time or due to a piece of paper stuck in the machine, paper removed where the printer thought there was paper, or a bad switch. If the printer is giving this error immediately after you turn it on and you can't find any foreign object it is called a "false paper jam" and need service. This might be a minor problem, a stuck lever, or dirty contact or an inexpensive switch that needs to be replaced.
