Question about LG Flatron L1951S 19" LCD Flat Panel Monitor

3 Answers

Monitor Problem I'm having problems with my LG Flatron L1930B Monitor that I purchased a little over a year ago. . When the computer is shut off for a while and then turned on, the monitor will not automatically come back on. If you push the on-off button on the monitor, you can see the picture for a fraction of a second and the screen then goes blank. By playing with the off-on button for sometimes 15 minutes, the picture will return. If I don't shut the computer off, the monitor works fine. Seems like if things cool off, the monitor won't start but while warmed up, you can put it on and off. Help, please.

HI..

Have you double checked that all your connections are properly tightened and connected in right slots? just trying to look at obvious things first.. if you have another monitor, i would try and hook that up and see if it's your actual monitor or pc..

I would also go to LG's webpage and pull up your model monitor and see if there are any easy fixes to this issue.. it sounds like maybe a cable is going bad or something to that effect..

hope this helps, let me know how it goes..thanks..d

Hi,
this sounds as if the power switch/button is faulty.
These can be a make-break circuit.
The switch when pressed once, should enable the power to travel to the monitors mainboard, and open the relevant circuits.
Alternatively, this could be an inverter problem.
Whereby the screen inverter is at fault, only working correctly when warmed up.
This would cause the CFL Tube, to not boost up sufficiently.

Flatron lcd monitor l1930b in power saving mode how do i get it out of

Most every television would have an on/off setting for power save mode. especially an LG product. it contains settings like backlight brightness, or to go into sleep mode when the tv is on but inactive. i would try looking into your tv's menu for things like Parental Controls and all those other customize-able settings. best of luck!

LG Flatron L177WSB-how would I use my newly purchased unit after switching it on, LG logo appears followed by the Power Saving Mode it all goes black on the screen.

Hi, the Power Saving Mode, turns the screen off to conserve energy. On the remote, press Menu, and scan to Power Saving Mode. You can change the amount of time, when the Screen turn-off, the TV shut-off etc. You can set the time to (5 min) to, (never, turn-off). This should help with your problem. Thanks paul7of9

LG Flatron L1930B lcd monitor - 3 vert. stripes, center one dead

sounds like the pixel controllers have gone bad or one or more of the color (RGB, RED, GREEN, BLUE) controllers have gone out. this is quite common in lcd monitors/tvs and is usually caused by pressure on the edges of the screen (you grabbed it too tightly when moving the monitor) or just faulty controllers. they are expected to eventually go bad, ask LG for yourself, they will tell you the same thing. If you just bought it, that can be considered a mfr defect that they will replace, IF IT IS IN WARRANTY!!!!! Unfort. there is no fix due to seal that placed on the actual lcd panel inside the plastic casing. Youd spend more money trying to find the part and install it than just buying a new monitor. hate to say it but im an avid gamer and have gone through about 4 lcd monitors in tha past 3 years due to everyday use

I have a L194WT LG Flatron monitor. One day it

Same problem started happening two days ago and ever since. I called LG and the product falls under a 3yr product warranty according to them (from my original purchase date of January 20, 2007). They will send packing slips to me so I can send the defective unit back to LG. I was told I am eligible for a replacement monitor - which will be shipped to me within 10 to 14 days (consecutive days, not business) - although I'm not sure what I'm being sent in return. My suspicion is that this monitor issue is a known issue by LG and they are quietly replacing the unit to those who follow through by calling CS.

Tips: Have your original purchase date on hand (in the form of a receipt) just in case they want proof of purchase.

LG L1930B 19" LCD Monitor Problem... HELP

When an LCD Monitor starts to respond like this it is due to one of three reasons a power supply is not generating enough power to properly power the LCD or the LCD's backlight is beginning to burnout, and last the inverter is bad. These things all can be replaced, but it is not worth the cost! Easier and cheaper to buy a new one!
