Had power cut ps3 switched off incorrectly when switched back on promted with message systemnot shut down correctly then gives both the examples to shut it down thensay press x to continue oncr a do that is going to xmb screen with glittery background minus the all icons i.e game music video etc please help

There's a switch in the back, the only benefit of using the power button is that it can be turned back on with the controller. Don't use the switch when your game is saving or anything is downloading because you could corrupt the saved game/download (I don't think it'll let you turn it off from the front button when it's writing to the hard drive- the switch in the back actually cuts off the power.), also note that When the power status light flashes red after using the PS3 system for 3 or more minutes and shuts off, the PS3 system has possibly over heated. This may be caused by poor ventilation or the vents may be blocked."

Check to see if the vents are blocked. If the vents are dusty, vacuum the vents to remove the dust.
If the PS3 system is in an enclosed area like a bookshelf or entertainment center, move it to a more open area.
Leave the PS3 system off for 30 minutes to let it cool down.

Plug in the charger and connect it to your car's cigarette lighter socket with the car running. When you unplug it it will give you a message saying that the power has been disconnected and it's shutting down. It will give you the option to get it to stay on or shut down and if you select neither it will shut down.

Do you have the red light of death I wonder??? What happens when you switch on your ps3. Does the green light come on, then beep at you and then does it go back to the red light? If so your ps3 is knackered!

This is letting you know the motor rotation is incorrect. If this is a new unit or has just been installed or other rewiring work done in your plant etc. you need to get your electrician to roll 2 of the 3 incoming power leads. If this compressor has been in service and operating you have a vacuum switch or transducer possibly bad. you also need to check the transducer line or vacuum switch line ( both are normally 1/4 inch plastic tubing) for tightness and leaks. For example the line has rubbed a hole in it. When you try to start the unit the transducer does not see the required vacuum. The controller interrupts this low or no vacuum as the rotation is incorrect and thus gives a check motor rotation alarm and shuts down.

Base from the description of your problem this can be an issue with the overheating of the unit, if this problem happen even when you're not playing or playing the possibilities of overheating is high.

Because if the shut off only happen when you play games on your PS3 what you can do here to correct the problem is to do a software update on it, but if the shut off also happen when not playing games the system is overheating and the fan on it may not be working fine and needs replacement.

So if the PS3 is still under warranty better take it to service center near you and have the fan replace or better yet have the unit replace.

Make sure that your PS3 is not put in an air tight space, direct sunlight, or heated room where it overheats. Put it in an open space, and make sure that there's sufficient air flow. Otherwise, You'll get the 'yellow light of death' Hope this helps.

This is a processor error. There is no way to get to the restore screen when you have the yellow light issue. Try CPR in NYC. They usually have a 1-3 day turnaround time, and are pretty cost effective. You can easily ship them your unit. They are faster and cheaper than Sony!

If the printer detects the shuttle moving at the incorrect frequency, it shuts down the shuttle and attempts to restart it.
If the shuttle still operates incorrectly after three consecutive attempts, the Printer goes Offline, and the Shuttle Fault message is displayed.
Press the Clear button, then put the printer back Online. If this doesn’t work, turn the power switch off, then back on again.
If the error is still seen after performing the above actions, check there are no paper jams , labels etc or ribbon jams that may prevent the shuttle moving correctly. Also check the Patten gap to make sure it is not closed too much.
Then you may need to change shuttle components

Becoz ur hard disc got corrupted ! But don't worry, U need swith on the PS3 & touch hold both the "Eject" & "Power/Reset" button for 20 secs or until a triple beep sound. It will restart the PS3 with a Message " Press X Button to restore the corrupted data ".. Enjoy.. !! =D
