I bought this Samsung Laptop last week (01-02-2010) and I've discovered the product code for Microsoft office so I tried to type in the activate code but nothing works, I even retype the code millions times and still nothing. Can the code be outdated?

No and Ye, depending on the version you are using and the cut keys you are using. Or maybe the keys you are using is wrong.this a key for office 07 you can try if it will work. Product Key: CM9R7-9X4DV-F43J4-JVC67-GYDQ8.

Hi,

Yes that is a trial or outdated software. Microsoft wants you to purchase a licence key from them to reactivate the Office software.

You can try OpenOffice which is free software. It recognises MS Office documents and allows you to edit them.

Please do not use ANY key supplied by anybody on this site. WE DO NOT ENDORSE PIRACY.

you should only use a genuine, unused product id or activation code with Microsoft Office 2007 or you will almost certainly have authorization problems. if you bought Microsoft Office online or instore from an authorized microsoft retailer then you would have received the product key with the software

If the product id you are confident that the product id you have been entering is definitely the correct one and is the one that originally came with the software you are trying to install, then go to the Microsoft website and under support and activation let the website scan your computer. after scanning the website will generate an activation code that will enable you to install and use the software with this particular pc.

there are some websites online which claim that you can download Microsoft Office 2007 from them but as far as i know there is nowhere on the internet where you can download a genuine copy of any Microsoft Office software except the official Microsoft website.

the only legal downloads of Microsoft products are available only from Microsoft and Microsoft do not offer downloads of old products like Microsoft Office 2007 or Office 2003. the only Microsoft Office product you can download is the trial version of whatever latest version of Microsoft Office that is available. currently you can only download Microsoft Office 2010 trial. trial versions of Microsoft Office are free to download but can only be used for the limited trial period. after the trial period ends you have to upgrade to the full version and pay Microsoft for an online activation code which unlocks the trial version's time limitation and allows you to use it indefinitely.

if you need this type of software but do not want to or cannot afford to pay what Microsoft Office costs, then you can use completely free Office software like OpenOffice, which is very similar to Microsoft Office and can even be used to open most Microsoft Office documents. you don't have to pay anything at all to download OpenOffice.

I just bought this brand spankin' new laptop and it has Vista on it... then the MS Office Home/Student 2007 and that kept asking me for a Prod Key... I tried the one on the laptop.

You should ask your laptop retailer if the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 that is installed in your computer is a full version or just a trial version. Normally, if that is a full version, it should come with an installation disc and the product key should be on the package where the disc is inserted.

Bought a laptop cannot find product key for mocrosoft office tried the one on the box and on the laptop Where else do I look.
With new laptop usually goes a trial version of MS Office for 60 days, so I don't think, there is key.
But if you are sure, that you got full version of MS office, and there is no product key sticker (notebook bottom side), you should contact your laptop dealer and ask him.

I have just bought a laptop with office 2007 home & student. After 25 timessgoing into word it now asks for a key which is on the laptop but when i enter it it comes up invalid key. help!!
Try typing it in again and double check the code you typed in and the code on the back of the laptop; you could of had a typing error. If it's invalid again, you can try this product key, but I'm not sure if it will help: GRH4B-HKXXP-WM4MF-YR4K6-BQJM. If this doesn't work, you'll have to contact Microsoft and ask them for the key.

I just bought an hp laptop with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 but every time I try activating Office using the Product Key on the laptop it doesn't work. What do I do?
I doubt that's not the correct Product Key of MS Office 2007 maybe it's the Serial Key for the OS of your brand new HP laptop....As far as I know MS Office in every new laptop bought is only a trial version that can be evaluate for free in 60 days or two months unless you bought the product then you will be provided with a valid key for that.

If you do not have product key but have the disc, most likely than not, you have a demo version disc. But if you paid for the disc and the license, you should have the license code with you. One way of geting one is to call Microsoft and also check with the store where you bought the disc from.
