How to retrieve faxes in memory - Canon FAXPHONE L80 Laser

The reason why this happened?
1- out of papers
2- Out of ink
3- power on jam
try to solve all this issues without switching off the machine.

To gain extra memory, you can turn off Fax Storage OR Print fax messages in memory (See Setting Fax Storage, page 48.) OR Expand the machines memory.
Retrieve or Erase a Fax
Press 9 6
then to
Retrieve all faxes Press 2, then enter the number of remote fax machine and then press # #. After
the beep, hang up and wait.
Erase all fax messages Press 3. If the data stored in the memory has not been printed before, it will be printed first and then erased.

Setting Fax Storage
If you set Fax Storage to ON, you will be able to retrieve fax messages from another location, using Fax Forwarding or Remote Retrieval functions. The screen will indicate when you have a fax stored
in memory.
1 Press Menu, 2, 5, 2.
2 Press left arrow or right arrow to select ON (or OFF), and press Set when the screen displays your selection.
3 Press Stop/Exit.

If there are faxes in memory when you turn the Fax Storage OFF, the screen prompts you to erase any faxes in memory.
If you press 1, all fax data is erased and Fax Storage is turned OFF. If the fax data in memory has not been printed before, it will be printed first, and then erased. If you press 2, data is not erased, and Fax Storage remains ON.

When an incoming fax is stored temporarily in the printer's memory, chances are, one of your cartridges has low ink level. To retrieve stored faxes, current state of printer must be on the instance when the fax is temporarily sent to printer's memory. Replace your low-ink cartridge without navigating away from the Fax function. Once you have replaced the cartridge, press Ok button to continue printing the fax.

I'm afraid your printer does not have the capability of retrieving faxes sent last year.
The only time you can retrieve faxes is when you get "low ink level" notification while a fax is coming in, where the incoming fax is temporarily stored in the printer's memory. You'll be asked to replace the low ink cartridge (without navigating away from the fax function) then hit Ok to receive the incoming fax. Other than that, you won't be able to retrieve previous faxes.

Thanks for using FixYa. Receive faxes to memory option might be enabled and all the faxes are been stored in the internal memory and not been printed. to retrieve them you can try printing from the memory. You can retrieve these faxes by changing the receive mode from main menu.

No. And even if you could, it would simply list the # the fax was received from, and the # of pages. The actual fax is not retained.

Press the stop key and it will resume printing

just press the start/print button on the machine and it should print it out for you.


pressing delete would clear the memory.
