If you see absolutely nothing on the screen then you may have a problem with the Lamp unit. If you can see around the back of the TV look to see if there is a vented opening with a noise of a fan and a rather bright light. If you see there is no light then try a reset (hold power button for at least 10 seconds). Turn the TV back on and the green LED should flash for a bit. If you still have no picture or video of any type (completely black screen) and have sound only you probably have a bad lamp. These lamps are around $125 or so and can be bought on Amazon or other sites that sell these parts. It's fairly simple to replace but make sure that the tv is unplugged and securely re-install the access door. Hope this helped.

MITSUBISHI 60 INCH PROJECTION TV WITH LITTLE WHITE DOTS ON SCREEN

You will need the DLP chip replaced. I do not recommend trying this on your own on a Mitsubishi. You need a technician who has extensive Mitsubishi experience to replace that chip(if it is available for your particular model) If the chip is not available for your particular model, it means replacing the light engine. For that cost I would update to a LCD or LED TV & come out ahead.
If you want an idea what it costs to replace the DLP chip (if avail for your unit) contact a local servicer & see what they can quote you over the phone. Be sure you are sitting down.
Considering the age of your unit I would be looking at an LCD or LED flat screen.

60 inch mitsubishi comes on no picture only sound and then it will turn off by its self

Most mornons seem to think that your TV is a traditional crt projection when in fact it is a DLP projection set and does not have convergence chips or CRTs. Instead, your set has a DMD chip and a projector lamp that passes light through the light engine where a color wheel is and the DMD chip itself. Often times DLP TVs cycle on and off again when the lamp is starting to go out. Mitsubishi is well known for this. However, it can also be a symptom of the color wheel going bad as well or simply updating the software by downloading it from http://support.mitsubishi-tv.com/
Good luck and rate me when you can.

Unpluged my 60 inch dlp rear projection tv plugged it back up and now it will not come back on. The light on the power button will not come on.

What model of TV do you have. If you have a Mitsubishi, look to see if you have any lights on the front of the TV. If so, are they blinking when you try to turn the tv on? Do you have any sound, or is everything dead? If you can provide make and model I am sure an answer will appear.

Mitsubishi wd 65737, tv gets to the welcome screen then turns off. What is the problem?

Try unplugging the power cord for 60 seconds and plugging it back in. We had the same problem and that worked the first time we tried it. The problem is back and, after some frustration, the manufacturer recommend updating the software. Contact your local Mitsubishi service rep. to obtain updated software and instructions. Good luck!

Mitsubishi VS-6043 - 60 inch

These are fairly simple, remove the speaker cover and then remove the screws at the bottom of the screen, then the whole thing lifts up and off, be sure to unplug the front panel controls, this plug can usaly be found just behind the cover behind the speaker grill
