Re my Samsung CL-300: The printer either works, or it doesn't. When it does not work, the symptom is an immediate "clunk" noise, at which point the red light comes on. There is no evidence that the printer even "attempted" to pick-up a sheet of paper. Nothing that I do resolves this problem. Sometimes I can get the printer to work by turning it upside down, removing the paper tray, "jostling" the main feed roller, and then putting things back in place and starting it up. But, this does not work consistently, and the "fix" may last only three or four pages before it reverts to the non-functional condition. Printer is lightly used, very clean, no paper dust, etc. Feed roller is like new, very clean. This printer has printed only 1250 sheets of paper in its lifetime (2 1/2 reams).
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I played around with mine for a few weeks and could not find a simple fix. The printer was GREAT, until it wasn't. Repair cost was more than replacement, so it was time for a new printer. I sold my extra ink carts on CL. Sorry this isn't much help....
I'm having the same issue with the same router and printer (mine is CLP-300/XXA).
At first when I try t print a pdf file or an image or any text/word document file with pictures/images I get an SPL-C error.
I have upgraded the firmware and it worked great on my laptop! Then, I tried to install the printer driver on my desktop, but now none of them work correctly.
Still not solved, but here are some suggestions:
1. Try to upgrade the firmware.
2. Try to install the original samsung printer driver 3.0.1 3. If it didn't work try to install the updated driver 3.0.4
4. If it didn't work try to install the Universal Printer Driver
5. IMPORTANT: between uninstalling and installing driver, disconnect both printer and router A/C power adapter and try to reboot you PC after removing the previous driver!
I'm going to work on it and see if it works. The DD-WRT firmware solved the exact same problem on my previous RT-N13U router, but unfortunately DD-WRT doesn't support RT-N56U yet!
Note: I called ASUS and they told me that Samsung printers are not supported for printer sharing server :(
Hi, if the red light is on and one of the colors light is on too. that means that that toner is empty. if the main light is blinking, it means that that toner is low. please check your user manual on page 6-8..
The printer will stop with an audible "clunk", and the symptoms above if the used toner container is full.
is the same way, to solve this I elevated the bottum by 2 inches, then i
kept it off, also i blow a fan on it while running. also, you need to clean the filter (the gray "L" inside) black dust should come out. lastly, mine actually broke because it overheated.
