It's a communication error. You'll either need a motor control board or most likely central control board.

Flashing F 11, drum spins by hand.unplugged for 30 sec and plugged back in started to fill then stopped .flashed F11 again

The F11 error can be difficult to resolve even for us technician's.

The F11 error occurs when the central control and motor control don't talk to each other.

If one of the controls was actually bad then I'd expect to see the error code every cycle. If it does, start by checking all the wiring connections from the panel to the CCU. Post back your results.

Whirlpool Duet F11

Seems that the fault is within the main control panel board. It can be due to failure of the drive relay or semiconductor within and might need a board level service or a replacement of the board.

When it gets to spin cycle, it starts flashing F11 and just keeps beeping, although sometimes it happens before spin cycle.

I did some research on F-11 codes and Vibration-- See if this helps:

The F11 fault is actually described in the tech sheet as a "Serial Communication Fault" involving the MCU (the washers computer) and the DC Drive assembly that runs the motor. If you are not familiar with a DC drive, it is simply a controller for the motor that varies the voltage to the motor to change speeds. My research showed many people solving this problem with a replacement of the control unit or the relays inside of it.
The problem with the engineering and design of these washing machines was that they all vibrate excessively unless they are sitting on a floor constructed of a ton or more of solid concrete.

The vibration eventually makes either the motor serial/tach connector (or possibly one of the five relays in the control unit) intermittent, and the machine begins to throw error codes

I have found a good whack on the side of the machine seems to work. No kidding. Here's what happens: Stupid F11 flashes. I hit the pause/cancel button. It flashes the remaining time on the cycle. I hit the start button. Sometimes that just does it. If it doesn't I give it a whack on the left side of the machine, (if you're facing it), in the middle, about 6 to 8 inches above where the drawer is.

Let us know if we can help more--

Stops on spin cycle and gives a f11 error code

F11 is a serial communication error. Communication between the main board and the motor control board is not being sent correctly. This could be a bad main board, motor control board or motor itself. The testing can get pretty involved. Try putting the machine in a self test mode and see if the error clears. Press Cancel, then by pressing the drain spin button once on the left side then move to the spin speed button the the right. Press this button until no-spin lights. Press the prewash button 4 times. C00 should appear in the display. Let it run it's tests, there will be 8 of them and end up on C08. If this doesn't work, it's best you wait for the service tech.

My Hotpoint Aquarius WF430 1300 doesn't complete its cycle, it stops after the wash & doesn't go on to the rinse & final spin. It seems to "freeze" after the wash is finished as the lights remain...

First the f4 light flashed and we turned it off and on again and put hot water down the pipe which seemed to clear it - then the water finally drained from the maching - then it kept repeating the last 15...

Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re select cycle and select HOLD to START.

If the issue persists then the F11 error is a Serial Communication Error Between MCU and CCU - Disconnect power and unplug unit. Check wire harness connections to the motor, Motor Control Unit (MCU), and Central Control Unit (CCU). Check the drive system for any worm or failed components and reconnect power and plug unit in. Verify CCU is working by performing diagnostic test or any wash cycle. Check MCU by looking for operation of the drive motor and check drive motor for powered rotations. Also check the motor and wire harness. Replace defective part as required.

Door locked/ cycle won't complete

If you need to get the washer door open, there is a manual release lever that you can use. The following links explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r622155-kenmore_elite_whirlpool_duet_door_jammed

Now, with your clothes rescued, the next link explains the "F11" error:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r666194-f11_error_whirpool_duet_kenmore_elite

I know it seems like a lot with the second link. In most cases I have found, the CCU is the cause of the F11 error code, but read through the information carefully and doublecheck everything. It can be replaced if you wish to perform the repair yourself. I hope this helps you.
