Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
5100 says something is blocking the carriage assembly froom moving back and forth properly. Either paper scraps on one end of the printer or just something inside that doesn't belong. Try opening the cover til the inks come to the center and unplug. Try moving the carriage back and forth and look especially on the right side for scraps. If OK clean the encoder strip with q-tip and alcohol.
