Atari2600 Retro Gaming System unable to get working

Sorry to appear unable to cope with what seems such an easy thing but we recently purchased on -ebay one of the above systems sold as fully working.
We have managed to tune it in but cannot get any of the games to play.
Is this us? or is there a bigger problem. What are we doing wrong ?
Any help would be appreciated as the console arrived without an instruction manual.

Unfortunately, without seeing it, it's hard to say if it is connected properly depending on what type of tv you are using and age of it. I would contact the seller and let them know what you are dealing with? have you had it long and was there any return policy on the item? i sell on ebay so if you feel this was broken to begin with, then make contact with them, if no response, then let them know that you will have to give them a negative feedback--that will get their response.. you can find a manual at this

i believe this is the correct model, if not, just google atari manual.. good luck! d

not a problem, if this works, please rate me as fix ya since i'm just starting and need all the votes i can get.. one more thing you could do is try to clean out the area where the cartridge goes and clean each game.. buy some air cans and spray them down.. it may just be dust too or not.. thanks..d

Hi, experts can i get a win95 emu -to run on XP. -for some retro gaming? Regards Jn.

Hello, by retro gaming do you mean classic dos games? If so then try D-Fend Reloaded. It comes with the Dosbox emulator and is quite easy to setup and use. Download it here:

Once installed, click extras and then open games folder, place your games here. Then run the game setup wizard by pressing F3.

For old windows games, try running them in compatibility mode. Right-click on the program executable, choose properties, click the compatibility tab and pick windows 95 or 98.

Have fun, thanks for using FixYa

Red light is not turning on

I had the same problem. It came from a small mechanical malfunction in the switch inside the cooker.
To fix it I had to :
- unplug the cooker
- unscrew the 3 screws from the bottom
- open the mechanical switch (red and black plastic box inside the cooker)
- reassemble the switch (copper tabs and spring... this part needs some patiente and dexterity skills)
- close the cooker with the 3 screws

It seems to work again now. Sorry for my bad english... I hope my solution is still understandable.

I have a 1993 Chevrolet c-1500 truck with A/C. It is not blowing cold. I noticed that the sticker on the compressor says R-12. What can I put in that is safe?

You Must Change over to 134-A and this Requires Replacment of All Internal Rubber "O" Rings
Although I Have Purchased the ADAPTER Fitting and Just Filled My Personal Vehicles With 134-a With No Problem

Hi... I have a leapster which we purchased on march, 2008.Recently, the screen doesnot seem to respond for the stylus. but the button works well. what can we do to fix it? [i live in indonesia]

If your Leapster2 does not respond to the stylus pen, it needs to be calibrated. Calibrating the Leapster2 is easy:
1) Ensure that a cartridge is not inserted 2) Hold down the Hint button while turning the unit on 3) When the LEAPSTER menu screen appears, press the A button 4) Touch each of the crosshairs that appear with the stylus 5) Restart unit

Canon Pixma MP130 error 5200

Simple! After saying a prayer, I pulled the power lead from the printer (whilst it was still switched on) then I replaced it. Hey presto! Everything returned to normal!

The moral of this story is: do the simplest things first, rather than uninstalling, re-installing, etc. as I had previously tried to no avail.

Caution: if you do think of uninstalling MP Navigator, consult the Users' Guide - there is a correct order for doing this, otherwise you end up with MP Navigator on board and unable to either uninstall it or re-install from the CD, as I did.

Fortunately, there is still Omnipage and Scangear available which can cope perfectly with all scanning needs.

Infocus IN1 Gaming Projector

Hi, I just bought the same projector Infocus IN1 and after just 15 minutes of use it turned off due to overheating. It seems that the lamp is very ineffecient and produces too much heat. The ambient temperature in the room is only 16 deg. celcius.

The solution I came up with is to have a standing fan blowing air directly on the back of the projector from less than a foot away. The standing fan which we usually use here in summer was enough to keep the projector cool. The infocus IN1 did not switch off for the next 2 hours (the entire length of the movie), until i turned it off myself. I am not sure how this system will fare in summer when the room temperature reaches 30 deg. celcius.

I have recently purchased a ps3, about 2/3 weeks ago, with it i brought call of duty 4. I brought the ps3 mainly for online gaming and cod4 works perfectly. I then purchased fifa 08 and tried to play...

The Fifa 08 game has problems if you are not using a "HD" output. So if you don't have a Hi-def TV then don't buy this game (It is why i didn't buy the PS3)! I am not sure about the other game.
