SOURCE: Dryer will not blow hot air

first, check the entire exhaust pipe, most of the time the problem is there. every inch must be free of lint. to take apart most dryers: 2 screws hold on the bottom front panel. those screws are near the floor on the front. once that panel is off, you should see 2 more screws, this allows you to remove the main front panel (the one that holds the door) with that off, there should be 4 screws holding the front drum support on. with that off, you should be able to carefully remove the drum after removing the belt from the motor. to get the belt off, you have to reach in from the bottom and push the tensioner and slip the belt off the motor.
good luck!

SOURCE: Kenmore 90 series electric dryer blowing cold air only

1st check the breakers
2nd check wiring in back to see connections are secure.
3rd check element. It would be burned in two.
4th check thermal overload switch which is located underneath top of dryer. Easy to remove top. Probably 4-6 screws.

SOURCE: electric dryer blowing cold air

You either have a blown fuse, breaker, burned out element, wiring that has come loose. They all can be checked within 5 minutes. However, I believe it is in the thermal fuse which is located below the top of the dryer. You can access that pretty easy though. To check it, just bypass it and put the 2 wires together and see if it runs. The fuse is only 15 dollars or so. I am assuming you have an electric dryer.

We have a Zanussi washer/dryer WJS1397W but only a cold feed where we want to put it. We were wondering if this machine could cope with a cold feed only?

It shold not be a problem if the machine gives you a choice choose the cold wash. The manual should tell you which wash cycles are cold wash only.Hope this helps Kind Regards Stefan.
