http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-009241.htm is the website covering the 865 GV chipset from Intel. An integrated audio is not among the listings for that chipset and the motherboards that Intel makes using that chipset do not start with MBP. So I'm in a quandry, Who makes your motherboard? It is very possible that your manufacturer has an integrated audio chip on your motherboard that is not associated with Intel. I have already tried to find a part # from MBP4165GV and found nothing on the internet at all

Hi,
Windows XP or other operating systems, only provide generic or standard running drivers.
If you have On-Board sound, you,ll need to go to the manufacturers site, and download all the drivers relating to your motherboard. Also check that you have connected the sound-card and cables correctly. Or if your using a DVD Drive, that you have the lead to connect Drive To Motherboard. ** This is usually a 3 pin plug connector.
