Hi

This is really, really strange but as the BIOS password can be removed only by a local ASP. The technician will remove it and will update the BIOS to prevent such further, unexplained password settings.

SOURCE: toshiba SPM30 bios password remove

Hello,
All you need to do is open one of the covers on the backside of the laptop and remove the CMOS battery (it looks like the size of a quarter) for a few seconds, then place it back into it's holder and put the cover back on. You can then power up the laptop and then re-set up all the settings in the BIOS in order for the laptop to work correctly as all previous settings have been forgotten including the password.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: lost bios passwrd

Toshiba has a list of models in which the computer randomly changes the BIOS password, prohibiting entry. You need to call them at 800) 457-7777 to see if your model is on the list. If it is, you have an older version of BIOS. They will have you take it to your nearest authorized service center and upgrade the BIOS for you and then you will never have that problem again.

Bios password remove

Basic input/output system, or BIOS, is an interface to start and load the operating system. Making changes to the BIOS will change the way the operating system operates. Sometimes to make changes to the BIOS, you will have to enter the BIOS password. If you have forgotten the password, you can bypass it.
1.Download and install a BIOS utility such as CmosPwd or KillCMOS (see Resources). These utilities will remove BIOS passwords provided you are in MS-DOS or Windows mode.
2.Locate the jumper switch on the laptop's motherboard. You can identify the jumper switch by CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, JCMOS1, CLR, CLRPWD, PASSWD, PASSWORD, PSWD or PWD label. Once you have found the jumper switch, remove it and place it over the pin that is not covered.
3.Locate and remove the CMOS battery for at least 5 minutes. This will reset the BIOS password. Then enter the generic BIOS password to enter the BIOS.
I hope you find it very helpful. Thanks.

Is there a way to bypass a bios password?

If you set your BIOS password but have forgotten what it is, then the simplest way to reset it is to remove the BIOS battery. You need to be somewhat technically proficient to do so, especially if it's the BIOS on a laptop you want to reset. Some machines have a BIOS reset button on the back of them to reset the BIOS after a failed overclock, but I've never seen such a function on a laptop. You may also try typing in "Toshiba" as your BIOS password if that's the make of your laptop as it's been use a backdoor BIOS password in the past.

There is a bios password. my friend can't remember the password. How would i Bypass the password?

Hi There,

About the only way to reset the BIOS and therefore delete the password is to remove what's called the "CMOS" battery, and then hold down the power button for about 2 minutes, then replace the battery. It's small and may be coated in plastic. You should also have the main battery detached before doing this.

If you go to the below site, you can likely find a picture tutorial for disassembly of your laptop or one close enough to it to go just far enough to get at the battery. Toshiba doesn't provide Service Manuals for disassembly.

How to remove Toshiba satellite a300-146 bios password?

On Toshiba laptops this can be done only by a hard BIOS reset, and this can be done only by the dealer, by rewriting the BIOS with a special device. Time to take it there, luckily it will be cheap, less than $40.

Just take out your BIOS battery, and wait for 5 min, then put it back!

Or you can try to flash BIOS, if you know how to do this!
