Change Batteries....? Hi there, I have owned the Canon A 95 for almost 2 years now. Since a couple of weeks back its not been working at all. It keeps saying "Change Batteries" even after i put in a new set of batteries. After a few seconds of turning it on, it says Change Batteries and shuts off. Triedputting in new batteris a few times but still no luck. Any help would be highly appreciated!

Yes, I have the same problem as well. I'm currently using Energizer 2500 mAh rechargeable batteries. Whenever I do recharge them, I can only take 2 pictures and then the screen says: Change the batteries.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

I have the same problem with my A95. I have tried two different sets of NiMH batteries - which work in our other digitial camera, and have even tried two different chargers. The camera shuts down as soon as it is powered up in 'camera' mode. This appears to be an internal camera problem, not a simple battery issue.

Are you using alkaline batteries? Have you tried a better brand, or more preferably high output rechargeable NiMH batteries (2500 mah or better)?

Ok.. did you guys try a reset? Just remove the batteries, wait for 60 seconds then put them back in.. that should reset the camera..

Try getting new trusted brand batteries like duracell, And also if it forces you to change the D/T just change it. Also try getting a new memory card. (trusted brand). If none of this works then there might be a prob. Maybe someone dropped it. Try asking the company 2.

Hope this helps

Printing

Hi, i'm not at my own computer just now for a few weeks so i can't check but from what i can remember at the moment - if you go to print, then on to properties, then to the page layout section. From there you can get change the page layout for printing.(I think!) Give it a try and let me know how you get on, if it's not right and no-one else helps in the next couple of weeks i'll check for you as soon as i get back to my own computer/printer.

Canon A95 "Change Batteries" problem!

I have this problem as well. I thought it was a problem with my NiMH batteries. So, I bought a volt meter to make sure the batteries worked. I have 8 AA NiMH batteries. I charged them all up and tested them with the volt meter. They were all good to go. However, no matter what I put in the camera one of two things happens:
1. I get the "change batteries" message.
2. I don't get the message, but the next time I check the camera (a few days later), one of them is totally drained.
Something is very wrong and I plan on contacting Canon.
