Question about Admiral AAV7000A

Admiral washer AAV8000AWW

Washer works each cycle only if the dial is spun and placed on each setting. It won't stop agitating through the rinse cycle, for example, unless it's placed there manually. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. Also, my washer sometimes fills with water and then stops. The dial won't reset until I let the washer sit for a little while. Then I can pull the knob and it will start again.

Read somewhere to drain the water and try again. I am doing this now. Don't know if it will work, I do know that this is REALLY irritating to have to babysit my washer with each and every load! This set is not even 3 years old and I have had this issue for about a year now. Seems to come and go but in my opinion, I don't think the issue should be going on with such new equipment.

The timer motor is either bad or there is no power going to the timer motor.that is why the timer is not running.

Won't complete cycle, stops at rinse. and can't get hot water.

Are you on well water? turn off the cold water to the washer and clean the screen filter out. do not leave filter out.
the machine probably has a cold only final rinse so it won't work properly.

If it will not spin/drain/advance timer or make any noise when you set it to do these options your problem is the lid switch. Your washer thinks the lid is up so it wont run as a saftey measure. You can order and install this item and its pretty easy and very common.
