Minolta 2300DL Magicolor printer

Despite changing all of the toners, the message window on our printer is still telling us that the Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow toner are empty, and will not allow the printer to leave the change toner message. These are brand new toner drums, this problem has been an ongoing issue however it seems to be getting worse and we have found no way to fix it, HELP.

We are having the same problem. It just started out of the blue-- with no warning. 1st it said Change Yellow Toner. Now it's all Toners except black even after not being able to print anything. I know that Cartidge are not empty--as we do not print that much color. I tried changing all the cartridges with ones from another 2300 that I have but the printer didnt acknowledge the change. I purchased new ones and plan on installing those tonight. But this is not cost effective, if the used ones are not low. What's is this all about? Can this problem be resolved by simply cleaning the inside of the printer?. Do I need a new or updated driver? Thanks, SWalker.

EAch cartridge has a small ( about 1/4 inch square) stainless steel color metal tab at the end of the cartridge opposite the refill cap end. The surface of this little tab is visible when the cartridge is "low" on toner and this causes the machine to give the message to change the cartridge. As the cartridge gets older I've noticed that this tab moves to the exposed position more readily, which causes the message to appear. If you google how to reset the position of this tab, then the message will not appear. EVerytime I refill the toner of a cartridge I check to make sure to reset the position of this little metal tab.
It is difficult to describe how to reset the position of the tab. You have to stick a small regular screw driver into the slot below where the metal tab appears and find the lever which can be pushed to reset the position of the tab. You can likely find photos of this procedure on google.

Keep Getting Error Message "(Colour) Toner Not Installed"

I think in the menu you have to select replace cartride.. then new or same with new toner...

each toner cartridge has connections and you must make sure all are tight... or you get alot of errors.

I have replaced the toner but am still getting the replace toner message.

My message error was sepcific for magenta after I removed it to refill it. After refilling, cleaning metal contact points, resetting the metal tab which prevents message of "low toner", I put the cartridge back in and received the "magenta toner not installed" message. I turned off the printer (safety first!) , I then pushed the button left of the hole where you slide the cartridge in, There is a squarish hole with a circular or cynlinder shaped button in that squarish hole. Use a small screw driver to push and hold it in. While the button is held in I gently rotated the cartridges so that my magenta cartridge was no longer in view, (rotate them counter clockwise). I released the button, shut the door, then turned on the printer.

How do i change a black cartridge ona Magicolor 2300DL? The black toner is shown as empty but the menu only allows me the options of changing one of the color cartridges. Black is not mentioned

Black is listed as K. CMY (Cyan Magenta Yellow) K (Black)

Easiest way ids to open the fron door, remove the toner bottle and poke a screwdriver in the small round hole near the toner opening. This will free the carousel so you can move it to whatever colour you want to remove.

Konica minolta error

I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
Hope this fixes your as well.

Toner problems

A couple of suggestions. 1. make sure there is not any plastic shipping tabs that need to be removed from the cartridge. 2. try reseating the cartridge. 3. Try replacing that cyan cartridge. It may be defective. Also make sure you use Minolta brand toners!
