Question about Televison & Video
When in standby mode the tv will turn on and then off in about 4-5 seconds just long enough for the screen to go grey then black againg. I'm not pressing the remote or even in the room when it happens. About 5 times in 24hrs. I don't want the switch to eventually break. Can u help?
This isnt a problem at all. It is the design of the samsung TV and a lot of smasungs do this. It will only do it every 10 mins or so or maybe longer. Read the manual and you will find it does this to check for updates for over the air firmware. I thought this was a problem oriignaly when i would here the tv clicking on mysterioulsy when i bought it. but you can fix this if you go into the menu and to the software upgrade then turn off standbymode upgrade.

This is usually caused by a bad power supply board. You can call 1-800-samsung.
