Question about NetGear DG834G Router
If this is the case, the router might have a problem with the ports. But here are things that you can do to test the router:
* Use a know working Ethernet cable.
* Reboot the router.
* Reset the router, but this will erase all of the settings that you currently have set on it.
* Test if the wired connection through the modem and make sure that it will work. This will also tell us whether the modem is working fine or not.
If all of the things will not get the Ethernet or the Internet light to come on on the router. I strongly recommend that you have it checked by the router manufacturer to have it replaced specially if it's still under the warranty. As far as I know wireless router has at least 3 years warranty.
