Hi there,

Well first of all you can check Motor coupler- To test the motor coupler, re-start the washer in its spin cycle. Let the machine run for a minute, and then open the lid and notice whether the tub is spinning -If it's spinning when you lift the lid, the coupler is fine. If it isn't spinning and your machine was produced by Whirlpool, you may have a broken coupler. Many Whirlpool-made washers use a small, relatively inexpensive device called a motor coupling. This plastic-and-rubber component is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. When that happens, you need to replace it completely.
If the water that pumps from the machine goes right back into the machine after the spin cycle, it may be because your washer is siphoning the water from a laundry tub with a slow drain, back into the washer. Try to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is there something stuck in the drain?) Also, be sure the drain hose doesn't reach more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub. If it does, cut off the excess. After then you can check the water-inlet valve - water-inlet valves eventually fail. One problem that may develop with a water-inlet valve is that it can no longer completely shut off when the electricity is turned off to it. Then, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub--you may notice that your washer has water in it when you haven't used it for a few days. To fix this, replace the valve.
Please post comments for more help or information.......

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Why does my microwave arch at the wave guard

Typically most arcing in a microwave is caused by food splatter. A microwave cannot tell the difference between what is on a plate or on the wall or ceiling. Every food particle in a microwave will continue to cook until it turns to carbon and will attract the microwave energy and focus it to that spot and the unit will arc. Thorough cleaning of the entire microwave cooking cavity and removal of any burn or soot mark will commonly stop the arcing. If your microwave has a painted cavity, you can even use some very fine sand paper to remove any burn mark. Always cover what you are warming and really keep the inside of the microwave clean. If your wave guide cover is made out of the Mica board, and If it has gotten wet from cleaning or from splatter, it must be replaced. You can either order a new one or order a sheet of the mica board and cut out a new one yourself. If the microwave is arcing in the waveguide, generally the unit will need to be replaced. One quick test to see if the unit will work is to remove the bad cover and place a small container of water in the unit, run the machine of a minute or so and see if it still arcs. If it does, the arcing is in the waveguide area, if not it may have just been a problem with the cover. You can run the unit without the waveguide cover in place, it is only there to prevent splatter from getting into the waveguide, so removing it to test the unit is ok. If the area inside the wave guide shows signs of soot and arcing. You can try to wipe that out with some alcohol or lacquer thinner and then try it again. Good Luck.

Magic Chef Microwave has stopped working. None of the buttons work. It's showing random numbers when you plug it in. I tried a different outlet and it gave me different numbers.

Try unplugging it for 24 hours. Plug it back in and see if this helped. If it's still the same, it needs a new control PCB (printed circuit board).

Our beko dwd540w doesnt wash properly every wash the plates and cups ect have bits on them

The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine. If the machine is not fully drained it picks up some of the residue and sprays that onto the dishes during the final rinse, leaving an unhealthy and unsightly film on everything.
Remove the bottom strainers plates and make sure that the outlet pipe the pipe is not kinked, that there is nothing obstructing the pipe or the pump or selector valve. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again.

Dishwasher does not drain. Drain valve is very hard to work and has burned out the solenoid. Can you tell me exactly how to get these parts out of the dishwasher. Do I have to replace the pump to replace...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues can arise due to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain hose) & clogged drain pump & filter. Also note that dishwashers do not drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s drain lines.

First check whether the drain is not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked. Check all the hoses for blockages & also clean the air gap. Has the disposer been replaced recently? If so, chances are the knockout is still in place. Simply remove the drain hose from the disposer, and knock out the plug. If the disposer has not been replaced, try removing the drain hose from the disposer and use a wet-dry vacuum (prepared for water, of course) to **** any water (and hopefully anything else) from the drain line. Then reconnect the hose, and test the unit. If you have checked the air gap and the drain hose and can’t locate the problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

I have a whirlpool magic 1200 and it doesn't drain. Can someone help please

First, check the lid switch, the lid was probably dropped and it broke the switch. Next, disconnect the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged up. You could have a sock or something stuck in the hose that would stop the water from draining. After you do that, check the belt on the pump and then the pump to see if it is working correctly

No power to microwave all ready checked fuse box and ok , changed microwave fuse ,and still no power and solutions it a whirlpool

the circuitry has probably gone bad, try plugging it into a different electrical outlet, but if that doesnt work, its probably dead. and it will be cheaper for you to replace than have serviced, unless its still under a warranty

I have a Whirlpool Microwave that runs when I open the door Model# GT4175SP. Any ideas?

Remove the case and confirm that the door latch switch is mechanically intact. Next, disconnect the switch and test it with an ohm meter to see that it is actually working. It should show a short (0.0 ohms) when the door is closed and no reading when the door is open. Those readings could be reversed but there should be two distinctly different readings when testing the switch. If you don't see any differnce between readings when the door is open or closed then replace the switch. This should solve your problem.

Power on ,time works, will not run to heat.

I can't find the exact diode for that one. I assume it hums a lot when plugged in and the diode is on it? Most of the diodes are pretty much the same. Most just look different and have different leads. Here is a good generic one that usually always works. Let me know how it goes!
