Question about Dishwashers
I have a Hotpoint FDW60 Dishwasher and have error code lights on 4&6 indicating a heater failure. Hotpoint want £90.00 to call out but I have found the part for £38.00.
Before I buy the part where is the heater located on the machine and is it just a case of removing two pipes and electrics. Does it have anti tamper screws etc. Thanks in advance for any help
So the heater on my FDW60 isn't an element at the bottom the tub its a tubular unit inside the machine.

The heater is the black element at the bottom of the tub. you can see it when you open the door, there are 2 wires attached to it under the dishwasher along with 2 nuts and some rubber washers to keep it from leaking, It is a simple job to replace. Remove the wires undo the the nuts that hold it to the tub, and there may be some brackets inside the dishwasher that secure it in place. remove the element and replace it. Install in the reverse order you took it apart.
