Driver Issue PCI Simple Communication Controller Driver in a Dell Latitude D610 its not working. I dont have the original disk.

Go to start and select control panel. Select Device Manager, look for the missing or flagged up icon. Select it and choose Driver then Update Driver from the menus. Let Windows go online to find a driver and that should be that.

Hi. I believe it's the dial-up modem that's asking for a driver. Driver can be downloaded from this link:

If it keeps coming up then just go to the device manager. you'll find Other devices trhere and just right-click and select disable and it'll not bother you again.

If I understand you, there is an 'on board' modem and you have now added a card?
If that is the case, it may be necessary to disable the on board device via BIOS setup before expecting the add-in card to work. They could well be interfering with each other.  

Here is a link to the Dell support website for the D610. You can download all of the drivers from there. I would suggest that you also download and install the BIOS flash to make sure the computer is up to date that way.
