Is there a 'wheel lock' on the shaft? You may have to dismantle the saw arbor mechanism to free the worm gear drive. If the saw has been unused for a long time and exposed to excess moisture, the worm drive could have rusted tight. Good luck!

How do I alligne the blade to the miter fence on my table saw. delta 10" no.34-670. thanks gregg

Just performed the same task on another brand table saw. un-sungged the bolts holding the table to the saw frame and tapped corners of the table while measuring distance from the mitre slot to the lead and tail of the fully extended saw blade (not from the teeth) calibrated to a perfect 90 degrees position. I figured out how to use a digital miter gauge to measure the distance from the blade to the edge of the mitre slot. You can tap appropriate corners to align.

Note when you are in alignment, re-tighten the bolts a little at a time, measuring and tapping as you go.

De Walt radial arm saw old model 7740. Am trying to restore it to working condition Very difficult to change the height adjustment due to binding when trying to turn the handle on the top.

The manual for the saw is included below, To free the height it may be best to remove the saw carriage from the arm to reduce the weight.

Use WD40 or equivalent to cut the rust and a suitable grease to maintain the freedom. There is a worm screw that is below the cylinder that may need lubricating. The manual shows the assembly. I routinely apply 90 weight gear oil around the large tube where it goes into the housing,

Is it safe to install the delta invicta rt.40 table saw on a mobile stand

Yes. They even make mobile stands for Unisaws.
Just make sure that once the saw is positioned where you want to use it, it isn't still movable. You have to buy a mobile stand designed for table saws that lifts the wheels up or pushes feet down when you're not moving it...Or you can make one! Check out woodworking videos on YouTube on the subject.

What makes a delta 28-243F 14" band saw blade keep coming off?

The most common is wheel misaligment. The top wheel has an adjusting screw or the equivalent somewhere, and you can turn that to align the blade to the center of the wheels.
Second most common is guide problems. There are some guides that are supposed to hold the blade "just right" above and maybe below the table where you are cutting These must be set to support the blade in it's correct position as you are cutting through the material you are cutting.
3rd problem is a saw blade that has lost it's tension from being
" worn out ".
Be blessed.

I have a 10" Delta table saw. It was running rough

Check that the blade is not warped or binding. Don't use long extension cords. Check your home breakers. Also check if the table saw has a breaker. Don't force lumber into the blade too fast and don't jam the lumber between the guide and blade. Try a different outlet and check your wire for breaks. Good luck!

The blade won't up & down any more

The wheel that you turn has a long bolt which threads through a type of nut on the motor assembly. You will need to turn the table saw upside down to check it. It maybe broken or jammed, There also could be a piece of wood the fell in there and is jamming the mechanisim.

Pleas leave a comment if this helped you out

Good Luck

Delta saw model no. 28-245 saws a taper form top of wood to bottom why does it not saw a stander line Delta saw model no. 28-245 s/n 91B1335

Sounds like your table is tilted. Put a small square on the table against the blade, then adj the table to it. If that is not it, then the blade guides are off up and down, back off all the guides, wheels, turn the blade by hand, get it tracking in the center of the tire, then bring the bearings up the blade, don't push it , just touch it, then bring in the guides, again, make sure it doesn't push it, the guides stop it from going off, it should track by itself. Hope this helps.

How do i change the blade on my delta 10" mitre saw

Exploded diagram for your SM100M miter saw is here.
User manual is here.

Page 20 covers blade change operation.

Make sure you unplug your saw! You need to remove a screw from the cover and rotate the cover to the rear. Use a hex wrench in the motor shaft to keep the saw blade from turning, and loosen the arbor nut with a 1/2" wrench. The arbor is reverse threaded, so you'll turn it clockwise to loosen, then counterclockwise to tighten it up after you have swapped the blade.
Rotate the cover back after that's done, and replace the screw.

If this was useful, please vote. Thanks.

Older Delta 10'' Miter Saw Zero setting is out by 1/2 degree.

Undid the RH fence-bolt in the table behind the fence and tapped the end of the fence forward to make it perpendicular to the blade. Tighten bolt. When you look down on the two fence bolt heads, one is easy to rotate with a socket wrench, the LH bolt head would be very, very difficult to move. Undo the RH bolt to swing the fence angle WRT the blade.
