You go to your memory card, select the song/rngtone, go to options, and select use as: ringtone. Or, when you open the options menu, the set as ringtone button might be there. It would be a lot easier to tell if I knew the phone model, but I guess its probably either one of these. Normally its one of these.

Hi There, I just bought an G1 phone that is rooted, unlocked and upgraded to Froyo 2.2.1 and I have no sound. No ring-tone sound, no messages sound, no video sound mp3 etc. What should I do to fix...

Since you are rooted, you can load a custom ROM that has ringtones. A popular ROM for the G1 is Cyanogenmod. An easier way to get ringtones onto the phone, however, is to simply put whatever video and ringtones you want onto a microSD card and load it into the G1. Once you load the microSD card, the ringtones will be available in Settings -> Sounds and the Videos will show up in the Video application.

Can the ringtone be changed on a Samsung GT E2550? If so - how?

This can be achieved using a microSD card formatted in the phone. In Settings menu, PC Connections, set the phone to Mass storage. Connect to computer and upload your ringtone file to the music folder.
Go to Menu, My files, Memory card, Music. Select your ringtone and under options select Copy to phone.
Now go to Settings, Profiles, select profile, Options, Edit, Call ringtone, Change, Music, Select your ringtone, then press Back repeatedly until you get back to initial screen.
Worked forme!

How do I take my music from my Music Player and put it as my noral ringtones?

you can't do that, exactly. A ringtone can only be a specified amount of time. You can go to www.myxer.com and find a ringtone you like and have it sent to your phone (standard text messaging rates apply), or you can make your own ringer on your computer and save it to your MicroSD card and load it that way.

Motorola V750 cant get ringtones for free?

You can txt yourself the sound and when you receive the txt you save it as a ringtone. If you have a computer with bluetooth capability you can send ringtones that you can make yourself through bluetooth. I use create-a-ringtones.com, make my own and transfer them to my phone. If anyone else wants the ringtone I just txt it to them. I just did about 18 ringtones for my husband and he has the motorola adventure v750.

How do i get my ringtones from my sd card set as my ringtones?

I got ringtones from my microSD card on my Pantech Duo to set as ringtones by using another phone. I put my microSD card in another phone and bluetoothed them to my pantech duo. When i had bluetoothed all the ringtones i wanted onto my pantech duo, i removed my microSD card from the other phone and put it back in my pantech duo. Then i went to "Settings" on my pantech duo and then "sounds". The first option is "ringtones" so i used the circle button to select the ringtone i wanted and hit "done".
