I have a sony 52 inch rear projection tv in front panel a red light flashes 5 times and the screen goes black but i still have sound i put a fan behind the tv and now it seems fine no red light no black...

Check the internal fan on the TV. when you turn the set off the fan should still run. Get a couple cans of "dust off". The rear of the set is easy to pop off. Pull the power to the set and let it set for a couple hours, then clean out the back of the set with dust off. the fan comes out easy with 4 screws. clean it off and put it back together. should be ok. If you still have an issue, post a comment and I can help you further.

Had a paper jam and my daughter pulled the paper through the front now it wont work and the red light keeps flashing, Is my printer ruined now??

what you need to do is restart the printer and if you get the same problem try cleaning the front of dirt and dust ( maybe bits and pieces of paper still blocking the sensor) that's why the red light keeps flashing.

Screen comes off after couple of hours. Sound is

When it shuts down, is there a light flashing somewhere near the button controls or under the display of the t.v.? Most projections I have dealt with have a series of flashes through the led on the t.v. Counting this and going through a troubleshoot guide on your t.v. will bring you to a conclusion why its shutting down. It will explain what the number of flashes mean. My personal opinion is that the bulb is dying out. When is the last time it was replaced and how often do you clean rear filters and such? They tend to take on a lot of dust inside and pulling the back and blowing the internals clean will help greatly. Our rear projection was acting funky and we took it apart and ran the compressor to it. After that its been fine for quite a long time. Hope any of this helps!!

How to clean a toshiba tv screen model # 50a62

snap off the fron cover its pretty tight so kind of pull hard dont worry it wont break its just snaped on tightly, after uncrew 3 screws under the screen lift up and pull out screen there will be 2 wires attached to screen, unplug them to set screen to side. dust off the projectors with dry rag, then clean mirror with windex or any window cleaning product. u are done cleaning front of Toshiba, put everything back together, then unscrew the bottom back and vaccum any dust balls u will see inside T.V. u r now done! let me know how it went.

Ps3 wont turn on???

Your system is getting hot......Clean the dust from the unit with a vacume...not a can of air, Canned air will only push the dirt further into the unit. also you can buy an intercooler for the ps3 nyco makes one that actually forms to the ps3

Red Light Flashing 6 times

A 6 blink usually indicates a bad thermal fuse caused by the lamp temperature getting too hot. I strongly suggest replacing the sirrocco fan that mounts on top of the optical block too. Usually this fan gets clogged up with dust so the lamp temperature gets hotter than it should causing the thermal fuse to open up. Replacing the thermal fuse, sirrocco fan and cleaning the dust from the inside and fans will cure this. A Sony authorized servicer should be able to repair this for you. Good Luck

Screen goes black and sound goes away too

Remove the lower front panel by removing the 2 large round screw heads at the lower back corners, one on each side. Remove the retaining screw on the right side of the metal horizontal retaining strip in front of the bulb holder, remove bulb retaining screw in the upper left corner of the bulb holder. Pull the bulb holder out towards you and check for dust build up on the top screen on the bulb casing, if there is an abundance of dust it will restrict the airflow across the face of the bulb which causes it to heat up and turn off. Once the dust has been cleaned your bulb should now work as it should without a problem.
