Two reasons : 1> your mouse is extra sensitive, go to control pannels and then mouse and lessen the speen of ur pointer. 2> you're using some cloth or some soft area as ur mouse pad, such things slip easily, try using a proper MOUSE PAD

SOURCE: logitech mouse problem
sounds like you have reverse mouse enabled go into the control panel find the properties for you mouse, this should be a check box you can disable.

REPLACE THE BATTERY AND UPDATE THE SOFTWARE AND PUSH IN THE RESET BUTTON ON THE BUTTOM OF THE MOUSE SO IT KNOWS WHAT FREQUENCE TO OPERATE AT

Have you syncronized it with the receiver?
Normally you press a button on receiver then press another button on underside of mouse to sync it.
