Need help wih dehumidifier Kenmore model#2519970180000451

well first ive never read in any manual that tells the homeowner to remove cover on any apliance , in fact the only cleaning ive ever read is clean the filter , this is right in front on side and slides right out and can be washed in sink with soap and water (do not scrub) but yes cleaning the condenser coils will require you to remove cover this is purposly made somewhat a challenge to discourage homeowners from hurting them selfs as there are live electrical parts and sharp edges inside , i sugest a qualified appliance repairman be contracted to have a look

I require replacement blade and glass blender jug for model 14071

Presumably a Russell Hobbs though you did not say; the blender is obsolete and parts hard to source, furthermore given the price of comparable parts it would be cheaper to buy a new blender. I hate it when that happens.

Getting excessive condensation causing water problems at base of unit. Bought new pump but problem returned. Cleaned lines to outside by using wet/dry vac. How do I get to evaporator coil to spray it and...

Hello, in order to get to the evaporator coil you must cut into the plenum above the Furnace. This will require sheet metal tools and being very careful not to puncture the coil. Many times a cracked condensate pan under the evapoartor coil can cause water to leak down to the base of the unit.

I have a blown BDP 7.5 ton Condsor unit. The old unit is R22. I want to replace it with a new BDP which has R410A. Question: I am being told that If I flush my old R22 Air Handler Coil & install a TXC...

I've done what you are describing - "however" you could void the warranty on the new condenser - by not having 'matching' coils (inside/outside). I would do some serious checking with whoever you are buying the new condenser from.
Note: I would (if possible) go back with a R-22 condenser unit (price is about the same), and you would not have any 'warranty or matching issues' going on.

My ps 123sc is not cooling properly. it seems to be blowing some cool air but not enough to keep the freezer stuff frozen

Hello Drhoffs,

I understand that you are having a problem with you GE Refrigerator. The unit is blowing some cold air but not cold enough to keep items in the Freezer frozen. There are a few possible problems that can cause this situation:
1. Condensation coils are dirty
2. Fan not working (unplug unit)
3. Freezer coils are ice up (unplug unit)
4. Low on Freon (requires a service Tech and can be expensive)

Lets take this one step at a time thru the possible causes of the issue:

1. Condensations coils are dirty: You will need a vacuum with a crevice tool or air compressor or a long handle skinny brush>
a. Remove the kick plate on the bottom of the fridge
b. Use the above mentioned tools to remove all debris from underneath the fridge in the coils this can be accomplished from the front and back of the fridge
c. Once done reinstall the front kick plate
2. The Fan (if you can not hear the fan then follow these steps)
a. Remove all items from the Freezer
b. Remove the rear panel inside of the Freezer compartment
c. Locate the fan notice if the is turning if not remove and got to local hardware store and purchase a new one
d. Reinstall everything in reverse
3. Freezer coils
a. Remove all items from the Freezer
b. Remove the rear panel located in the back of the Freezer
c. Use a fan or heat source to speed the defrosting of the unit (it is also a good idea to put a cloth or something in the bottom of the Freezer to collect the water so that the Freezer pan does not over flow.)
d. Reinstall all items in reverse
4. Freon Level: This requires a licensed service technician and can be costly, weight the cost of the service call and repair to the cost of a new unit. If the cost to repair is more than half the price of a new unit purchase a new unit.

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com

Our airconditioner freezes up and drips on the floor model#8333e7564

Make sure your air filters are clean and the coils are clean. Also make sure the fans are running (condenser and evaporator, I assume this is a window unit so it's probably 1 motor that runs both). The other thing is the refrigerant charge. Call and check on prices to get that checked as a new unit may be cheaper.

I need a new coil on my Carrier unit...how much should that run? What other parts do I typically need to replace when replacing the coil?

It all depends which coil you are speaking of, Evaporator or condenser if you are lucky to find a used match which is highly unlikely. newer units have has their seer rating changed substansually causing both coils to be replced at the same time and by the time that is done a new lineset is required to elliminate cross contamination so its not good news depending on required tonage 3000 to 5000 dollars installed sorry wish it was better news

Fixya.com doesn't sell phones, so we can't give you a price. Your best source for new phone pricing is probably amazon.com, and eBay is a great source for both new and used prices.

Need a replacement coil for a Coleman Evcon air handler Model # AH12L10NA. I am losing freon at a rapid pace. Leak detector indicated leaks in the indoor coil in the air handler. PLEASE HELP! Thanks in...

This may be a bigger issue than you want to tackle alone, generally speaking the coil will have to be ordered from a dealer, as most wholesalers will not sell to the general public. Further, this will require brazing the new coil in, evacuating the system, installing a dryer and recharging.

Carrier air handler tonnage?

That is a fairly large difference. It is usually ok to have the inside evap. coil and blower up to 1 ton larger than the outside condenser. That will make the unit slightly more efficient as well as less likely to freeze up on low airflow situations. It is not recommended to install a new condenser on an old evap coil. There has been a lot of changes to the design of the coils in the last little while. For example a 10 year old 2 ton coil may only have 3 cubic feet of volume but a new 2 ton coil may have 4 cubit feet of volume.

There are many factors that may have infulenced the decision on what size condenser to install. Many of which can only be done by visiting the home and doing alot of work, checking the duct sizing bioth supply and return, inspecting the insulation and windows of the home etc. etc. Most of the time that never gets done. You can blame the contractor for not doing a complete check, but at the same time you can blame the customer because many contractors that are that good loose the job to a cheaper bid that did not no any of the research. It is a catch 22 for everyone involved.

There is ALOT more to sizing equipment that many people think, sadly that also includes many HVAC contractors. Way too many people use "rule of thumbs" or flat out "guess".

Sorry for the rant but your queston can only be answered by a good well educated HVAC contractor visiting your home. That type of a contractor is getting hard to find these days in such a price competetive world.
