Hi the only way you can do this is by removing the internal button battery thats inside the laptop then switch it on and off a couple of times then put battery back in this should remove bios password this is one of the only ways you can do this.
The other now depends on the board in your laptop some laptops but not all have jumper switches usuall one of these switches is to enable and disable the bios password not all laptops have this though but if you look its a strip of about 5 or 6 switches small but push up or down their should be a sticker inside the laptop telling you what each switch is for i had to do this when i brought a second hand laptop witch had the password on it hope this is some help.
Also try google and ask for
How to remove bios pasword on laptops

Removing the button battery stops the clock working and should disable password but switch on and off few times with bat removed then put back in ok let me know how you get on ok

Hi,

It can be attempted in several ways.

  • Using a manufacturers backdoor password to access the BIOS
  • Use password cracking software
  • Reset the CMOS using the jumpers or solder beads.
  • Removing the CMOS battery for at least 10 minutes
  • Overloading the keyboard buffer
  • Using a professional service

You don't need to put a bios password on it.

If the bios already has a password on it then it will not let you boot the computer without you putting it in. It sounds like you are already booted up and into the bios, if that is true don't set a bios password.

How to reset forgotten bios password on a dell precision 220

If you know the current password just boot the machine and look for what key to press to get into the Bios or Setup. There you can change it if you know the current password.

If you don't know the password, then you will need to remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard and let it sit for a couple of hours. This will cause the computer to clear memory of everything. Then replace the CMOS battery and start the machine. Unfortunately you might have to disassemble the laptop to get to the CMOS battery.

I don't know my security code

When you boot up to the log in screen type in administrator as user to log in if you cant log in

during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there

    also

The most common way that we know on how to reset or clear the BIOS password is to physically remove the power from the computer by disconnecting the power plug and then removing the Cmos battery for 30 minutes from the motherboard. Another way is to reset the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard itself. Both of the 2 methods mentioned works because most motherboards use a battery to sustain the BIOS/CMOS settings for the motherboards PROM chip. So by cutting off cmos the battery power, the BIOS/CMOS settings will be erased.

    hope this helps you

Laptop cannot boot from cd drive

is it boot password of BIOS password?
if its BIOS password then you can get rid of it by resseting the CMOS.
to do this take wireless card out and have a look in the corners for a a little battery. unplug it and wait for 1-2 minutes then plug battery in, put the wireless back in(make sure the white and black cables are still attached correctly) and restart.

From BIOS you will be able to change the boot order and be able to boot from CD.

    See if this helps.
    If it doesnt contact ACER.

It sounds as if this is a BIOS password request.

Has anyone been changing setting in the BIOS recently?

Occasionally, static or electrical interference can cause a BIOS password to reset to it's default.

Bypassing the BIOS password is not easy, but is possible. First of all, I would suggest you try some of the common manufacturers default passowrda. You can find lists here and here.

Failing that, there are software programs available to recover/reset lost BIOS password or you can manually reset the BIOS. Details of how you do this are here and here.

If you are not 100% sure what you are doing, I would not advise you to reset your BIOS. There are setting in here that you will need to set in order for your computer to work properly. Wrong values could prevent it from working at all, or could even cause permanent damage.

Google for 'reset bios password' - You'll find lots more information...

    Hope this helps,

    Matt
