Question about DeLonghi XU33 Alfredo Elite 1500 Watts Toaster Oven with Convection Cooking

Open Question

My Delonghi toaster oven has a heating element (one of 2 long narrow rods going across the bottom of the toaster oven) that split open. I am assuming this is dangerous. Am I right? Can the heating element rod be replaced in these ovens?

SOURCE: Delonghi AS690 toaster oven lower element won't turn on.

Cactus Bob Is WRONG. I've had these replaced; and then, when it happened subsequently, bought the part and replaced it myself. You have to take the entire thing apart. but it can be done.

f the oven doesn't work at all, make sure the circuit breaker or fuse is on at the electrical service panel and test the electrical cord . If the oven doesn't work on its toaster and oven functions, test the main switch . As needed, check the fuse .
If the toaster function doesn't turn off unless the door is open, test the solenoid, the switch and if necessary, the thermostast.

Location of the typical toaster oven's thermal fuse.
If the toaster oven stays on when the door is opened, check the main switch . If the oven doesn't heat, test the heating elements.

The lower electric elements are twisted and do not put out the proper amount of heat Can they be replaced

Go to the DeLonghi website. You can probably email them or maybe even call them. Also, here is an address that will bring up a list of places that sell oven parts. Copy and paste it into the address bar.

My toaster oven stopped heating all together.

your heating element has gone bad or there is some bad wiring in the oven itself

to check open up the toaster oven and look at the wires coming from the heating elements inside to the timer on the front panel if there is no bad wiring then the heating elements are bad and the toaster oven needs to be replaced

Bottom elements on DeLonghi AD699 failed.

Solution: buy a new toaster oven. I determined that the manufacturer stopped selling replacement heating elements in 2006, three years after the model year (2003). After market parts makers don't sell the elements for safety and liability reasons. So I got a new one.

BOTTOM ELEMENT DOES NOT WORK

If the top element is working, then it is either the element, the wiring harness , or the control board.

Since both elements are controlled through the same temperature probe, then the temp. probe should be OK.

The heating element must be removed and tested using a multimeter.

The part is tested disconnecting wiring from element contacts, setting a multimeter to read impedance at Rx1, and reading Ohms on element contact.
If the circuit is open (no continuity and infinite Ohms value), then the element has blown and must be replaced.

If the element has continuity, test the wiring harness, then replace wiring harness or control board.

All the test must be done by a trained repairer, strictly observing all health and safety rules.

Regards.

I think this is a common problem with these kind of toaster ovens. Mine isn't a Toastmaster - mine is Cook's Essentials (from QVC), and my upper elements have also warped and split, although mine are curved downwards.
