I get code 32-49 Lift actuator short to ground.Does this mean I have to replace the actuator?

Switch lift and tilt actuator plugs and see if problem changes to tilt actuator fault. If so yes replace lift actuator and calibrate actuators.

Rear Hatch/Gate Description and Operation
The lift gate can be opened by operating the switch on the instrument panel. Battery voltage is supplied to the lift gate actuator through the body control module (BCM). The BCM will pulse the lift gate actuator when a release input is received through the key fob, or the instrument panel switch. Did you test voltages ? Check for BCM DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ?
Circuit/System Description
The lift gate switch is an input to the body control module (BCM). The BCM supplies battery voltage to the signal circuit and when the lift gate switch is activated the signal circuit voltage goes low. The BCM controls the lift gate release actuator assembly through the LIFTGATE relay. When the lift gate switch signal is activated, the BCM enables the LIFTGATE relay by applying battery voltage to the lift gate relay circuit and the relay is energized when the BCM grounds the LIFTGATE relay control circuit. When the relay is energized battery voltage is supplied to the lift gate release actuator assembly through the lift gate release actuator control circuit.

I have 2005 chevy tahoe my doors all licks but my liftgate door with window stays open use to lock w all my doors? I havent check anytjing yet? I cant lock it.


Here is how it works !
Liftgate Locking Operation
The lift gate will lock any time the vehicle is shifted out of park on vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission and at vehicle speeds exceeding 5 kph with manual transmission. This happens in conjunction with auto door locks if enabled or independently of auto door locks if the feature is disabled. This ensures that the lift gate is locked anytime the vehicle is shifted out of park or when the vehicle is in motion.
The lift gate lock relay supply and coil sides receive a constant voltage through the battery voltage supply circuit and the ECC fuse. The normally closed contact is connected to ground and the control side is connected to the body control module (BCM). A lock function will occur when a door lock switch activation, keyless entry lock transmission, auto door lock function or a lift gate lock function has been received by the BCM. The BCM will then ground the control side of the lift gate lock relay. This energizes the relay and allows voltage to be applied to the lift gate lock actuator lock control circuit. Since the other side of the lift gate lock actuator is connected to the normally closed contacts of the door unlock relay to ground, the lift gate will lock. When an unlock function occurs the BCM will ground the control side of the unlock relay and the rear doors and lift gate will unlock.
The BCM also runs diagnostics on the lift gate lock relay control circuit and will set DTC B3825 as current and also send a Class 2 message to the DIC. The DIC will display REPLACE LIFTGATE FUSE to inform the driver that a fault has been detected in the lift gate lock circuit and that the lift gate is not locked. Faults that will set the DTC and cause the DIC to display the message could be any of the following:

I have two code error on my jeep grand Cherokee 2007 idle air-control p0507 x3 of them & p2767 input/turbine speed sensor B, could you help me get idea, of what it is?


code p 0507 refers to idle speed control (ISC) system rpm higher than expected==causes -wiring--ISC actuator/IAC valve --throttle motor -- throttle valve tight / sticking---ECM
it als o refers to idle air control(IAC) system--circuit low===causes --wiring short to ground --IAC valve ---ECM
code p 2767 refers to transmission input shaft speed sensor/turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor B---no signal===causes --wiring---transmission input shaft speed sensor /TSS sensor

I recently replaced the catalytic converter to my 2000 bmw 300I and now It is giving the p2096.


Possible causes
- Oxygen sensor harness is open or shorted
- Oxygen sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Exhaust system leak
- Faulty front or rear (pre-cat or downstream) oxygen sensor


what it means Harness is open or shorted It means that the wire(s) connected from and to the component (sensor, solenoids, actuator, etc.) is either open (cut, broken, disconnected) or shorted (touching other wires, components, body). "Open" and "short" are common electrical terms. An open is a break in a wire or at a connection. A short is an accidental connection of a wire to ground or to another wire. In simple electronics, this usually means something won't work at all. With complex electronics (such as ECMs or PCMs) this can sometimes mean something works, but not the way it's supposed to.
Circuit poor electrical connection It means that the component (sensor, solenoids, actuator, etc.) connector is not fully connected or is disconnected. Before replacing any components, try fully disconnecting the connector, reconnect and test the system or component again.
Faulty or Failed component It means that the component it's more than likely the cause of the code and that needs to be replaced
Engine mechanical problems When a code list as possible causes an engine mechanical problem, it means that the problem is not caused by electronic component, but rather by a mechanical component such as pistons, valves, mechanical pump

Accessing the Integrated Diagnostic System:

Procedure for Automatic Temp Control (ATC) equipped vehicles:

With the engine ON and the vehicle stopped set the temp to 75*F. Next hold down the Floor, Mix and Defrost buttons until the ATC display begins to flash. While the display is flashing, the system will run it's tests and calibrations.

When the display stops flashing, the tests and calibrations are complete.

The ATC display can only display one error code at a time. Any stored codes can be scrolled through by pressing the Panel mode button once for each code. DO NOT press any other button or you will have to start the test over. Note the codes and refer to the list below to determine what system is malfunctioning.

List of Climate Control DTCs:
23: Blend door actuator feedback failure (bad servo)
24: Mode door actuator feedback failure (bad servo)
25: Ambient temp sensor failure
26: ATC In Car thermister failure (ATC only, bad ATC head or ATC head disconnected while battery is connected)
27: ATC in car sensor failure (ATC only)
31: Recirculation door actuator stalled (stuck door or bad servo)
32: Blend door actuator stall failure (stuck door or bad servo)
33: Mode door actuator stall failure (stuck door or bad servo)
34: Engine temperature message not received (ATC only, bad ATC head or bus failure)
35: Evaporator sensor failure

2009 Ford Fusion codes 2107,2110 car slows to 30mph and will no longer accelerate


Well, those codes definately are related to why your vehicle will no longer accelerate!

P2107 is "Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Processor"
This code means that the TAC portion of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has failed the self-test.

Posiible causes:
> TAC motor circuit harness shorted to ground
> TAC motor circuit harness shorted to voltage
> Damage Electronic Throttle Body (ETB)
> Damaged PCM

P2110 is "Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Forced Limited RPM"

This code is informational only. It sets in conjunction with other throttle actuator control codes (like P2107 above). It is just letting you know that the PCM is limiting RPM due to a TAC malfunction, (So it doesn't do a "TOYOTA" on you and run away!"

Trouble Code: P2118
Electronic Throttle Control Motor Circuit Malfunction
Trouble Code Conditions:Ignition is on and ETC motor is not in limp-home mode. When the PCM detects an internal error or short between the ETC motor and ETC motor positive circuits in the ETC motor driver. The ETC light will be flashing.
Possible Causes:
  • Throttle plate or bore malfunctions
  • ETC positive circuit is open or is shorted to ground, battery voltage or ETC negative circuit
  • ETC negative circuit is open or is shorted to ground or to battery voltage
  • ETC motor has malfunctioned
  • PCM has failed

CODE P1545 - THROTTLE VALVE ACTUATOR MALFUNCTION.POSSIBLE CAUSE THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL MODULE FAULTY - THROTTLE VALVE IS DAMAGE OR DIRTY - THROTTLE VALVE MUST BE IN THE CLOSE POSITION - ACCELERATOR PEDAL OUT OF ADJUSTMENT. THROTTLE POSITION ACTUATOR IS SHORTING TO GROUND OR POWER.
