The AC adapter for the battery charger shoud work from 110V-240V with auto detection for voltage. Look at the marking on the AC adapter and the input voltage should show 110V-240V. Once you verify this, the charger will work on 220V and you will only need the outlet adapter.

SOURCE: Canon powershot SD750 will not turn on.

Hi
There are several things that could cause this.

1- Check the battery door indicator switch under the battery door and beside the memory card slot. Is the little black switch damaged or missing? Try pressing down gently using a pen it with the door open and then press the power button. Does it turn on?

2- The fuse has blown and needs to be replaced. Offhand I don't recall where it is on the SD750 PCB or how hard it is to solder on a new one (depends on if its tricky to get at or not). Good thing is fuses are really cheap.

3- Other power problem with the PCB due to corrosion or impact damage. The PCB or 'motherboard' of the camera will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Camera will not turn on. Battery fully charged;

Hello,
You can give it to an expert for repair, he can repair it for less as there must be just a fuse problem, which can be fixed for a very less amount.

Hi,

If this is the case, the camera might have internal damage. Might be better to send it back to Canon delears/shop for repair. Please try below link

SD750 not turning on

Did you reolaced battery that evening, if you did then try holding the battery door tight and the turn it on. If this will solve it it means that there is a play in battery door that happens very often if someone is not careful enough while replacing battery or merory card.

have you tried charging up the battery pack? If you have and the camera still will not turn on, you may have a bad battery pack.

My canon powershot dosnt turn on

your camera has one of two issues.

  1. blown fuse this requires micro serface mount soldering.
  2. bad battery door switch
if you can not repair this or reather a shop do it we charge 75.00 plus shipping to fix it for you.

This is only a good price if their is no water damage and no lights come on at all.

Diagnosis is free.

My camera wont turn on

Hi

Could be a couple different things. Was the camera dropped or exposed to liquid? If so it may be a problem that needs repair by replacing the damaged parts.

One thing for you to try is to find the small battery door switch beside the memory card slot, is it damaged or missing? Without this switch the camera will not turn on. Put in the battery and with the door open press down the switch gently with a pencil. Now press the power button... does it power?

If it's not that switch then it's most likely the fuse which has shorted out. If you can solder well then you can replace the fuse, they are pretty cheap to buy. Another option is to buy a defective camera online and make one good camera from the two.

If that's not an option you can have somebody repair it for you. If its out of warranty Canon will want $150+ to do it.

DONT throw it in the trash! It's still worth money even if you don't want to repair it, sell it online or sell it to us; we are a digital camera repair business (Google: Darntoothysam com) and would buy it for parts if we can't get the parts to fix it for you.

Hope this helps

Good luck from Darntoothysam com: Affordable digital camera repair

Are you sure the battery is back in the right direction? If it is, try holding the power button down longer than usuall. If none of this works then it might have some internal damage.
