Question about Canon PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera

1 Answer

I can't down load photos from camer to computer. After trying all I could think of, I uninstalled the software. On attempting to reinstall the software, inserting the disc, the instal begins then I get a message saying that the drivers are already installed and the system shuts down. My OS is windows XP. How do I solve this problem?

Do what the pros do...use a card reader instead of your camera.

How do I down load from my camer to the computer. When I plug in camer to modum no box appears to down load.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

Repeated message "windows cannot load OmnisuperCam" Followed instructions and reinstalled carefully twice. Photo Impression 6 loads and is active. OVT does not appear in control panel 'scanner and camers'

Hi.

This often happens because Image Copier installation must be done in exact order as described in the instruction manual. To fix the problem you need to uninstall and reinstall everything back in right order. Also remember to restart the system when required.
  1. Unplug the image copier
  2. Uninstall the driver (remove from installed scanners and remove driver files).
  3. Uninstall PhotoImpression6
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Install the driver,.
  6. Restart computer
  7. Reinstall PhotoImpression6 software.
During installation ensure that you authorize the system changes when asked. If possible disable any security software.

If that does not fix the problem, then the registry must be cleaned of any entry related to the scanner software. This is rather difficult to be done manual. You can try doing a system restore to a recent date before the problem started after uninstalling everything, and then uninstalling again if needed (application and scanner are there after SR), and finally reinstalling everything in order. If that does not work you can try a registry cleaner or reinstall the system.

Here a copy of the manual.

PHOTO EXPLOSION DELUXE 3.0

Try to uninstall it restart the computer and reinstall it.

I reccomend "revo uninstaller" for uninstalling in "moderate" mode. Revo uninstaller do find more left over files for uninstalled software.

Hope that will help, otherwise return here .

Problem installing Scansnap S510

This is probably due to the program using the same folder for the new version of the program. Best solution would be to uninstall the new version, uninstall the old version and then reinstall the newset version only.
Running a registry cleaner in between does not harm.

One other thing to try is an uninstall program, but I am not sure that will help.

It sounds like a driver issue. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the software on your computer?

Cam Won't Take Photo Shots

Hello RayM, This is a software problem and you have already uninstalled and installed your program. So it is obvious that the driver may not be allowing for proper connectivity. Try this unistall the program and drivers. Reboot the machine without the camera being connected. Load the programes and drivers without the camer being connected, and then connect the camera once the programs and drivers are loaded and the system is rebooted.
