Question about Acer Aspire 5536-5224 Notebook
My keyboard is not working ..i am using windows on screen keyboard(arghh) . so forgive me if i am not very verbose.
this is the result of an unfortunate coffee spill. thankfully everything else is working fine.
i need help removing my damaged keyboard. i couldn't find anything online.
acer support wasn't very helpful either.
appreciated any help you can provide
I found them on ebay in 2 seconds. Ebay usually will have whatever you need. I'm sorry to say that this may not be a fix though. Most likely yes, but possibly not. What exactly is your keyboard doing? You should also know that even though your computer is functioning now, if you do not get the spillage cleaned off the motherboard it will cause the board and whatever components it got on to corrode. It's possible that it may not have gotten into you computer but I doubt it. How bad was the spill? It is also possible, depending on what the keyboard is doing exactly, that you may not need a new KB. It maybe just a good cleaning or cleaning out the KB connector.
