Question about Mitsubishi WD-52528 52" Television

For my Mitsubishi there a fuse inside that could have burned out that could be the cause of TV not coming on?

    The problem happenned when I swapped out a new lamp cartridge. Now the only evidence of power after I plug in again is the green light flashes quickly for about a minute and then goes off. About a minute later it repeats the same blinking green light and follows the same pattern as long as the TV is plugged in. But the TV will not turn on. I was hoping it might just need a new fuse but really have no idea. I am no electronics person.I've scheduled a service call tomorrow for diagnosis. I have the feeling it's going to be an expensive repair. Am I right?

Yes TV has serveral Fuses, chances are you either have Bad capacitors on power supply board 1000uf 16v or you just need to replace Board Encompass Parts Distrubtion Has Free Service Manual for this TV and list all Parts that they have in stock as well .Visit their

If you have no indications of power, i.e.; no LED's on the front light up at all, then there may be a problem in the power supply of the set. I doubt that it is as simple as a fuse that needs replaced. If there is a fuse that has opened, then you may still need a technician to replace it, as most of these sets have what are called Pico fuses in them.

If there are any LED's that light up at all, then I would suspect the lamp. You have not indicated that you have replaced the lamp, but that is the first thing that I would replace. If you have replaced the lamp and you have some indication of power then there are other components that need to be checked. The ballast for the lamp, the cooling fans are among the items that could keep your set from powering up.

Please respond to this post with more information as to whether or not you have any LED's that light up or if you have replaced the lamp lately.

I have a mitsubishi wd52 52528 connected to uverse.....i cannot get hd for some reason, the sbt says it is dispaying 1080i but the tv says 480i

Make sure you have it connected to the correct input---one other thing if you have not tried it unplug set and HD box from power for a short time and plug them back

The set has a soft and hard reset, the soft with the original remote is Menu, 1,2,3 enter.

RCA -D52w20B It will not come on. B links 3 times for about 7 seconds each, with 3 seconds in between

thats usually caused by failed Capacitors CP150, CP120 and CP114. You can get the RCA repair kit by the same name from which also has repair instructions included.

I have the WD 62627 model. the lamp light is on, when i power up the tv, it comes on for like 6 to 10 secs then it turns off. Does this mean I need a new Lamp?

I would say that it probably is a bad capacitor on the power supply board of the tv. What you want to look for is any round cylinders with the tops pushed up at all. The replacements are usually really cheap, it might also be the lamp, but usually when lamps go they go completely while a bad capacitor is known to cause intermittent problems that escalate into a tv only working for about 5-10 seconds.

The picture quality on our WD 52528 is horrible - dark, blurry, and hard to see picture at all if not looking at the tv straight on.

Your satellit receiver should have the capability to hook to your TV either by using HDMI cable out from sat unit to HDMI in on TV. This sgould give you sound and audio, or it should have component output which is a series of three cables red, blue and green.The component cablesdon't provide audio so you have to use digital optical or composite cables for sound. Whos satellite box are you using?You should be able to press your menu and get into "system set up" and, there should be an option for HDTV. Go for the highest resoulution(1080 And a ratio of 16 x 9. You tv manual should tell you about screen set up. Let me know

I have a mits tv 52 inch and the timer light keeps blinking. I tried unplugging it and hitting the reset button and it is still blinking and no picture will come on any other troubleshooting ideas?

your problem is in the dm module
there are caps in the supplys on this module that vent and cause the blink of death symptoms

The screen seems dark and blurry

take off the front panel carefully, usually 2 screws around the controls. Next, stick your head in and look at the red green and blue tubes. see if they are dirty? if, not look further into the tube using aflaslight and see if there is a white pasty looking substance inside. IF so, you need to clean as you have bacteria growing in the cooling fluid. A big job and you need the gaskets, can order from Mitsubishi tech support..good luck be careful.

Random purple spots on screen

I have the same issue with the WD-52528. I was told it may be a bad light engine. Service is coming out August 27th. I'll let you know what they say.
