I do not know how to connect the headphone to the TV. can you please explain? thank you

You need to connect its base-station to the TV, it should have a cable which plugs into the Audio Out of the TV (should look like a normal headphones jack).

Are the MDR-RF925R useable with TV's

Hi,
You can use MDR-RF925R with any thing that has Line Out RCA jacks and your tv should have TV Audio Out RCA jacks to connect this wireless headphone.
Thanks.

I hooked up the wireless Sony Headset MDR-RF970RK onto the side of my LG 50 Plasma (2005 model). it has the red and the white jacks on the left side. All I can get is a buzzing sound from it.

Make sure that the audio output is present in the RCA terminals to which you have plugged in the remote main unit. The power to this unit also must be in order so that it is transmitting from the main unit.

Check the rca output with an amplifier to confirm , if there is audio then the remote headphone must mesh up to the main unit to receive the audio. Please make sure the frequency is also selected and locked in, if this is correct and the unit is not locking it can a fault in the unit which must be opened out to be checked.

We just bought a viore 19" class lcd and can't figure out how to hook up our new sony wireless MDR-RF925RK RF headphones so that one person can hear the tv and no one else can hear the sound.

After doing some searching for the TV you mentioned, it appears it doesn't have any outputs to plug the headphones. Website says it only has inputs. You would need a monitor or a fixed audio out for this to function as you wish. Sorry.

There is a white noise hiss after every sound that comes through the headphones. The sound decays over approx 1.5 seconds. Have tried moving the base around the room, spent $$$ on high quality connection...

Maybe changing channels will do the trick. The noise your hearing is like a distortion of frequency from a nearby device that is using the same frequency the headphones uses.

A week ago I E-mailed you this queston. I also agreed to pay $12.99 to "Fix ya" for an answer. I'm not satisfied with the answer. My question was that I have a Protron PLTY-3250 flat screen TV. I need...

The response to your question is in two parts. There should be a couple of RCA jacks on the rear or side of the set labeled "output". These need to be connected to the input of the wireless headset transmitter. The second thig is to determine where the volume is to be controlled. The output from the set can be either Fixed or Variable. This means that teh volume can be controlled by the volume up/down at the set or not. Fixed mode is for connecting to a receiver where the volume is controlled by the receiver and changing the volume at the set will have no effect. Using the variable output mode will allow you to control the level of audio entering the transmitter and thus the volume. This assumes that the headphones do not have a volume control on them.

Setting the output to be either Fixed or Variable is controlled by the audio menu of the set. Please note that in variable mode, any internal speakers would need to be disabled as well.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Can these be hooked up so you can hear the tv external speakers as well?

I have the headset running through an amplifier so my wife can listen at her volume level and I can adjust the headset volume for myself. The volume dial on the amp is set to zero; but the audio output jacks still provide plenty of volume to the headset. You can get a reasonable amplified for $100 or less
