bought this model over a yr ago and now need to replace cartridge, sounds a doddle, its driving me crazy. have updated drivers etc and coming on screen no ink cartridge it is a legitimate no 2 lexmark cartridge n how difficult is it to install right, i'm ready to dust it off with a hammer can anyone please help

i have a x2480 lexmark all in one printer and i wanted to replace the ink cartridge, i just opened the top, not the scanner top the one below the scanner top, and pulled the white belt which goes up and down to print, in the middle and there was this light blue square thing with the clip on the other side, i just pressed the clip the blue thing opened and out came the old cartridge i removed it and then replaced it the same way the one was before in there, do not forget to remove seal from the new one, then put it back in there close the clip. that's it done.

you may wish to run a clean and calibrate for new cartridges from print control panel.
