Question about Toshiba Satellite M45-S265 Notebook

1 Answer

RAM upgrade Hi, I am going to upgrade RAM in my Toshiba Satellite M45S265 laptop. I have found that Toshiba recommends RAM made by Kingston, which is good, but more expensive. I have found many different manufactures of RAM with the same characteristics: 1GB 200Pin DDR SODIMM DDR333 PC2700. Are they compatible with my laptop? Thanks in advance.

Go to www.crucial.com and click on the Scan my System option. It will tell you how much memory your computer can handle, what is currently in the slots, and how much and what kind of memory is best for your system.

How to ram upgrade toshiba satellite

Before going for the upgrade make sure you read the specifications as to how much size your system supports,
Then take your laptop to the authorized vendor and ask them to upgrade it accordingly so that you do not have any compatibility issues later.

I need to know how much RAM I can add to my Toshiba Satellite 130/135.

2GB maximum on this series.

You can therefor put up to 1GB per memory slot.

The RAM you are needing is PC3200 SODIMM 1GB and if you want to max out the laptop you will need 2 of them

Hope this helps FixYa

New RAM for Satellite 1400 won't work

Hi this problem has arisen on both desktops as well as laptops, the reason for it is quite simple. a lot of the RAM available on the market now is HIGH DENSITY RAM and unless your satellite is specificaly designed to run high density RAM it will not recognize it.
You will find all the major RAM brands are low density and will work fine. A brand like Kingston is an ideal option.

Having trouble with memory upgrade for Toshiba laptop

I don't see anything about DDR2 I do see DDR SODIMM.

Kingston ( a company owned by Toshiba) has the specs you need for your pc. Here is the link:
