Hello sir, hi, Its kinda hard to distinguish your problem, but as I see it, this can be any of the following,

  1. Your PC is infected by a virus, or a malware which causes unusual errors, so scan first your PC for them.
  2. If its not a virus, its your software, are you using Media Player? you can switch to other types of player, like Nero, Locate a Nero CD and install the 7 essentials and use the Nero player .
  3. It could be your Operating system, low in Ram
  4. It could be your DVD player itself. attach an external USB DVD player then use it to play your video, see if the problem persist.
I cannot pinpoint the problem unless you check each one and localize the trouble. It could be software and hardware. Better yet, bring it for service or call your dealer if they have warranty. Hope this helps.

When watching youtube it runs for about 10 seconds and the stops for another 5 to 10 seconds or more before moving on Very frustrating

I encountered this as well. On the movie, right click on it and go to Settings. Click on the first tab, it should look like a play button. Make sure you uncheck enable hardware acceleration. This should help with this issue. You may need to restart your browser after applying this.

Power turns off after about 10 secs of watching the video

First guess is the camera has dirty heads. Suggestion is to run a head cleaner in your video camera. Regardless of the instructions on the head cleaner, I usually run the head-cleaner tape on "Play" for about 10 to 15 seconds, and then on "Record" another 10 to 15 seconds. Wait for 10 minutes before loading your playback tape. Try playing your tape again.

Also, check to be sure the tape is loaded properly and that the hatch closes securely and properly. A hastily loaded tape or an ill-fitting closure could cause the play function to stop.

If this does not solve the issue, it may be something in the play switch or in the playback mechanism that requires repair services. If the problem continues, I would recommend calling the Panasonic Company and speak with Tech support or Video Camera Repair. They may be able to tell you and estimate of what it would cost for the repair.

Wont play my tapes will rewind and fast forward but they appear as blank tapes after using a tape that was eaten by my last video camera, do you think its something to do with my video head or whatever...

There might have been some sort of residue on the "bad tape" that you played in this camcorder. If you are only getting a blue screen when trying to play back your tapes now, you should try a head cleaning tape. Play the cleaning tape for 5 to 10 seconds and then try your tape again. If it is not all better, repeat this process (only in intervals of 5 to 10 seconds at a time). A head cleaning tape is a little more abrasive than your regular tapes. This will probably do the trick for you. Sony makes an excellent miniDV Head Cleaner. If you do not have one, your local camera shop may or you can find them online reasonably priced.

Hope this has helped you.

I have tapes with videos on them. I want to put them on the computer but I never did in about a year. I finally got around to doing it. I know there is video on the tapes but when I play them they don't...

When you get a blue screen, it is usually an indication of dirty heads. You should try and run a head cleaning tape for about 5 to 10 seconds. Then, try your tape again. If it shows signs of improvement, but still is not all better, run the head cleaner for another 5 to 10 seconds. Repeat as necessary (only running head cleaning tape for 5 to 10 second intervals). The cleaner tapes that we use in our shop are Sony brand....they last a really long time and seem to work the best.

Hope this has helped you.

When I try to watch a video it will play a few seconds then stop then will play again for a few seconds what can i do

this happens if you have a slow internet connection...

There is a high demand for the video

your video card is not up to snuff...

cheap fix... pause the video and wait till the red bar is all the way to the right or full...

then play...

if that still doesn't work then

upgrade memory... and do the pause trick

still doesn't work... upgrade video card and try pause trick...

still doesn't work... get a new computer...
