How to fix when the volume 'DataVolume' doesn't exist with WD ShareSpace 4Tb ?

This is a problem with the HD's, which if you check via the browser, then advanced/storage will show the drives as good but unassigned. Only course of action is to try and totally reboot the unit to default which will lose all your data:-( but If this fails you will need a RMA from WD.

LaCie 2big Triple - I replaced one drive, but capacity is wrong


Most likely the problem you are encountering is due to the RAID mode the device is set in. Most RAID arrays utilize multiple drives of the same size, or with drives of differing size, they just use a portion of the largest that matches the smallest drive. When the device rebuilt the array it partitioned off a portion of the 4tb drive of the same size as the existing 500gb drive. If you want to use full capacity of both drives you would need to use JBOD mode, which just strings the disks together into a storage pool using all available space. This won't offer the data redundancy of RAID1 or speed boost of RAID0, but should allow using full space.

Backup any vital data before doing anything, then look for a switch on the back. Rather than RAID0 or 1 the options may be labelled Safe or Fast, but JBOD is usually still labelled JBOD, or sometimes Big. You can try just flipping the switch to JBOD and seeing if it rebuilds to use all space. If that doesn't work you may need to remove the 4tb drive, connect it to a different system and erase it to get rid of the 500gb partition, then with the Lacie set to JBOD reinstall the 4tb drive so it will add its full size to the array.

The safest option though would be to buy another 4tb drive, backup all data and install both 4tb drives with the device set to RAID1/Safe. You would only get 4tb of total storage, but it would mirror the data on both drives so if one fails the other will still have your data. With JBOD you won't have any auto-backup. If a drive fails the data on it will be lost.

The volume wont go higher than 12 on my Jensen Mcd5110 Marine Radio/am/fm/Cd receiver W/Detachable face, how can I fix it to go all the way up to 26 plus?


take off the bottom cover ,find the volume switch on the outside then find it on the inside.Now get some WD-40 and spray the control on the inside with a very,very light squirt of WD - 40. Let it set for a while then try it.It should work.

clean the volume control with piece of cotton with plenty of alcohol, Im sure thats the problem of your volume control.

Microphone is muted how can i fix it


Make sure it is plugged into the red socket on your pc. On the right side of the taskbar, right click on the little speaker icon. Press open volume control. This will open up the box for all of the audio controls. Good Luck!

Sharespace WD drive not accessable


I had this with my first unit and tried endless things without success. I have just had my 3rd replacement unit which crashed after trying to install a HD from an prevoius unit, and this gave me exactly the same condition as you are experiancing and i had with my first DOA unit. Can't power off or access via browser, and won't reboot using rear reset button. The fault lies with the HD's and all you can do is return the unit or HDs and i'm afraid you've lost your data, unless you pay WD data recovery agents :-( Not a soultion sorry

If you are talking about a new from the factory radio, there is no way to increase volume. If you are talking about an existing radio which has lost volume over time, short of cleaning the grill of debris, and using a known good battery, there is no fix for low receive audio.
