Usually in these it is the wire connections to the machine. turn the breaker off, then take the toe kick off behind the toe kick right side is the terminal box take the cover off, and check for a poor connection most times it pretty obvious. this is usually just caused because of a poor connection when the unit was installed. If there damaged just clean them up and reconnect then check machine

Your question is: your 3-yr-old dishwasher (Whirlpool 24-inch ) stopped in mid-cycle. A small amount standing water in the bottom of the washer. None of the control panel buttons were lit up and none of them will work. NO POWER
First check all the breakers (or fuses).
Second check the electrical connections. If you're not a qualified electrician or service tech then call one. It"s under the unit behind the kickplate.

ok if that's the correct code then it will likely be a communication problem between the motor and control panel ie loose wire broken wire resistance on the touch pad control ribbon which can be cleaned with a pencil eraser by the way or something along those lines the control just thinks the motor is bad because it cant communicate with it maybe
Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.
Make sure you visit the Bosch dishwasher recall website as this model is under the recall with a faulty controller which may cause a fire! Check your model under http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/
then call 800.856.9226 to setup a recall repair appointment. We just found out about this recall and was never notified by Bosch even though we registered our unit after we purchased it...talk about poor customer service! Hope this helps!
