Question about Dishwashers

Model No.SGS43A52 DISHWASHER About 3-yr old.

Was working perfectly - no problems. Stopped - no power, it would seem. Checked fuse at at wall - OK. No Blockage in water line or filter and water supply is fine.

Is there some switch in the machine that could have tripped?

Model No.SGS43A52 DISHWASHER About 3-yr old.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. The problem appears to be the control unit/ programmer. Power is actually getting as far as the unit but no lights come on and nothing works. Can this unit be repaired - even to leave one program working as that is all that is used normally? (Some staining on cover indicating burning inside).
    - a replacement unit is about 40-50% of the cost of a new machine!!

I have this same issue.  My model is SHU33....  I figured it *must* be the control unit (though I didn't see any burning, as you mentioned).  The unit simply stopped one day near the end of a cycle (didn't finish draining).

I have a circuit tester that beeps when it detects current.  I checked that when I hit the power switch, electricity is sent all over through the rest of the door panel.  But no sounds, no lights, no action.  I figured that the control unit was bad so I ordered a new one (it was very hard to find).

But when I connected it and hit the power switch, still no action!! Dang!  So what am I missing?

Hi, I am having this same problem. I have checked for current all through the door switches and it gets to the control panel. I am wondering if there is a thermal fuse or switch in the machine, that has tripped? @At sea and @sdhull Did either of you figure out what had happened?

Usually in these it is the wire connections to the machine. turn the breaker off, then take the toe kick off behind the toe kick right side is the terminal box take the cover off, and check for a poor connection most times it pretty obvious. this is usually just caused because of a poor connection when the unit was installed. If there damaged just clean them up and reconnect then check machine

Well there is no real way to repair the control module, don't know where you would get a schemaqtic of the control itself. Not sure which specific model you are refering to either missing the engineering code should have like UC/12 or somethingthing at the end of the model. But if you are sure it is the Electronic control board and the machine is under 5 years of age it carries a part warranty from the manufactuer, but you have to use an authorized service provider for that. A look at the control prices straight from Bosch for this series only run 85.00-100.00 for the control itself go to this link you will have to get the remaing numbers for your D/W to find the correct control

from that link go to service then quickfinder then enter your model number

13 yr old dishwasher suddenly stopped working mid pre wash. Water left in bottom of machine. Power point is fine. Will not start at all now though. No lights turn on either. Is it fixable ?

If it is 13 years old, it has most likely reached its end of life--whatever the cause, something has malfunctioned. However, a service technician would probably be able to advise.

Bosch dishwasher runs continuously

I would call Bosch with model and serial number, they have had a recall on your model for the control board and that sounds like it may be your problem, if it is under recall Bosch will send someone out at no charge to install a new board (800) 856-9226

Wash cycle stopped with water in the bottom. Seems like there is no power. Can't get lights on cycles buttons to turn on. Power button does nothing. Checked circuit breakers. All are on. Lights and outlets...

Check the wiring in the units junction box. Its located at the bottom right corner. You will likely find melted connectors. If so, you need to cut the wires back and replace these connectors. Make sure you turn the power off before doing any of this work of course. Good Luck.

Hi We have a 1 yr old Bosch dishwasher SGS45C02GB-06. It's stopped working for the second time in a year. It stopped mid-cycle and the water is not draining away or being pumped away; although you can...

Did you install the high-loop for the drain hose? If not, you need to pull out the dishwasher and make sure that the hose is not lying below the pump at the bottom of the dishwasher. This will usually fix this problem.

My Bosch dishwasher stays running in the wash cycle, will not shut down or dry and sanitize the dishes.Checking the fault codes both the power scrub and the reg wash lights flash. Model SHU33A02UC

A solution to this problem would be to sell me your dishwasher. The law firm for which I work is looking to acquire an old unrepaired Bosch SHU 33 dishwasher for some ongoing litigation. If you (or anyone else with this model Bosch) could send me some details regarding your dishwasher, you may be able simply to buy a whole new dishwasher. My email is JFraser -at-

No power

Hi lushman001

I'm Harvey the Master Plunber.

Your question is: your 3-yr-old dishwasher (Whirlpool 24-inch ) stopped in mid-cycle. A small amount standing water in the bottom of the washer. None of the control panel buttons were lit up and none of them will work. NO POWER

First check all the breakers (or fuses).
Second check the electrical connections. If you're not a qualified electrician or service tech then call one. It"s under the unit behind the kickplate.

Bosch SHU3306UC dishwasher stopped

Make sure you visit the Bosch dishwasher recall website as this model is under the recall with a faulty controller which may cause a fire! Check your model under
then call 800.856.9226 to setup a recall repair appointment. We just found out about this recall and was never notified by Bosch even though we registered our unit after we purchased about poor customer service! Hope this helps!
