To get bios set up you must press DELETE key or F2 to enter set up...
you do this at the time of the booting ....
if your bios is corrupted then you can restore the bios by changing the bios jumper to restoration mode to do this refer to your motherboard manual...

Hello,

Look at the large chip next to the CPU slot. If you see 865G then click on this link

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/D865GLC/sb/cs-008974.htm

The manual can be found at:

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/15206/eng/D865GBF_D865GLC_ProductGuide02_English.pdf

If the notation is 865P then click on this link:

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865pcd/sb/cs-010434.htm

The manual for this board can be found at:

http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865pcd/sb/cdenglish.pdf

The boards are very similar. The G chip board can handle 4MB RAM. The P board only 2MB.

If you can give me the model number or the Service Tag number of the computer, I might be able to give you more info.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Iam change the vga chard but no display

If you added a VGA card and were using the video on the motherboard then you must disable intergrated video or select PCI(or AGP) video in the BIOS.

Intel 845 GVSR Display problem

did you used the correct bios update, because if you used the wrong update you will encounter these problems, your motherboard has a built in vga and no vga expansion slots only 3 pci, the only way to solve these is if you can find a pci video card which is sometimes hard to find, or just revert back to your old bios version then maybe your display will comeback

I want to find out the software for installing builtin LAN IN intel D865PCD

Intel D865PCD motherboard.
The LAN driver software is part of Intel's chipset driver. You'll need to download & install driver, number 2 from the Intel link below; (This is normally done after a fresh install of windows.
Before you run Intels software make sure the builtin LAN has been [Enabled] within the bios.

My ASUS P5SD2-VM Is Having A No Display Problem

If you are using the motherboards built in VGA graphic display, check your bios settings. Open your manual to page 2-22. Read the page.
Make sure you have the bios set to, Primary Graphics Adapter [PCI-E] set to, [IntVGA].
Set the internal VGA to, [Enable]. You will also need to set an amount of your system memory for the VGA to use. It is recommended if you are using Windows Vista that you increase your 1GB of system memory to, 2GB. Or instead you can buy a decent PCI-E video card that will use its own memory instead of your system memory. If you do this you'll need to change the bios settings to, Primary Graphics Adapter [PCI-E].
Also change, Share Memory Size to [Disabled].
If you need the manual for the Asus P5SD2-VM. Click on the link below;
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P5SD2-VM&SLanguage=en-us

Click the dropdown menu & click on your operating system. Than click Search. Asus list all drivers, manuals, FAQ's ect.
To view the manual you'll need Adobe Reader. You can download Adobe for free at this link;
http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/

Again, if you do not have any display & your using the built in VGA graphics card try resetting the bios. Doing this will reset the bios back to normal default settings. The bios will auto use the built in VGA. To clear the bios see page 1-22.

Good luck!
Mike

Suitable VGA for my Intel mother board D845GBV

U need to update ur VGA chipset driver as well as ur graphics deriver from http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=889
install & reboot. If still having problem then go to
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Filter_Results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=889&OSFullname=OS+Independent&lang=eng&strOSs=38
update ur BIOS version, but note this----BIOS upgradation is very risky task, because during update process power failure will result the abortion of ur motherboard. So do it with experts if u are a rookie.

Hi kjstenny, not sure where you saw the board E210882. This is not a valid Intel model number. The Intel D865GLC is a valid model number & you can download the manual for this at the link below:
http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865glc/BFLC_English.pdf
Main Intel link for D865GLC:
http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/D865GLC/LC_manual.htm
MB layout page 14 & 15. Than see page 13 block D, J9J1 Front panel pins. Page 43 for jumper connections.

Intel D865PCD (Matched). Front panel, page 34 & 35. Download manual at this link:
http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865pcd/sb/cdenglish.pdf
Main link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=1671&lang=eng

Intel D865PCK - (No Match). (Or no longer listed).
D865PE50 - (No Match). (Or no longer listed).

The most common wire color for each 2-pin connector will be negative, including the color black.

Good luck kjstenny!
Still need help, just post your question.
Mike
