My equal sign does not function.

Are we dealing with a 12C Platinum instead of a 12C?

On a 12C Platinum in ALG mode, you don't use the ENTER key at all, but the = key.

Depending on calculator, enter angle then press sin key or press sin key then enter angle and press equal sign. Make sure angle units are the ones you want (degrees, radians or gradians.

Look at the color of the ALPHA key, and find if there is a second = of the same color as the ALPHA key. If there is one, you enter it as part of a mathematical equality by pressing [ALPHA] followed by the key with the second = sign marking. However, I do not see the purpose since the calculator does no accept algebraic expression. To enter a function for a table, you select the computational mode as TABLE and the calculator will display **f(x)=** .

For the basic functions it is exactly like any calculator. Press keys to enter a number, press an operation symbol (+, -, x , /) then the equal sign.

For the more advanced functions and functionalities I am afraid you will have to consult the manual. The appendix has examples for each type of advanced calculations.

On these units, the "equals" sign ([=]) is located in the [TEST] menu. This menu is a [2nd] function of the [MATH] key.

This function is used to test if two expressions are equals. To evaluate an expression, simply hit [ENTER].

Good luck.

On Casio calculators, inequality grap?ing has always been part of the OS. To perform inequality graphs, press the graph icon.

Press the F3 key to open the TYPE tab at the bottom of screen.

Use the F6 key to access other choices. The relational operators are then displayed and you can select the one you want to create the inequality function.

The casio manual is rather comprehensive and I am surprised that you could not find an answer to your questions. Did you leaf through it?

You can draw up to 10 functions on the same graph. However is the Transfrm application has been executed before it will prevent you from graphing more than one functions.

Make sure it is kicked out of RAM.

To do so:

After you enter a function Press [ENTER].

Cursor moves to next line. Make sure the = signs in all previously entered functions are still highlighted light on dark.

If one equal sign is not highlighted, the corresponding function won't be graphed.

Make sure it is kicked out of RAM.

To do so:

- Press [APPS]
- Scroll down the list of APPS to reach Transfrm
- Highlight it and press {ENTER].
- The following screen invites you to uninstall or Continue

Hello,

Clear the you the RAM to revert to default settings and restart. I am including screen capture fro a TI to show you how to set up the calculator.

Notice the white-on-black equal signs. For a function to be drawn, the equal sign in its definition must be highlighted. To effect that you scroll left to the = and press ENTER. You will know the function has been selected for graphing if its equal sign remains white-on-black after cursor has moved to another location.

Here is what the 4 functions look like. They all are on same graph.

Now we will change the graph style of the cosine function.

The only difference between the first screen and this one is the style of the line at the left of the Y4. To change the style, you move to the cursor to the left of the Y and press ENTER. Each time you press êNTER, the style for the function in question changes. Here is the product.

The wavy curve (cosine) is now dotted.

Hope it helps.

First of all there is three modes on HP41

You can change between them by executing the functions DEG, RAD or GRAD

To do this press XEC then ALPHA then type in the function name, then ALPHA again. A small sign will turn on on the display in case of RAD and GRAD. After this all trigonometric function will work in the selected mode.

i mean my equal sign is the 'enter' button. if i make a simple cal culation let say 2*2 = 4, but the enter button doesn't function.

it does not reponse. i manage to get 3 and tje calculator in ALG mode

Wait a sec! ALG mode? Are we discussing an HP 12C, or something else entirely?

So, what does the ENTER key do when you press it?

What happens when you put in 2 ENTER 3 +?

If you get 5, then the ENTER works. If the ENTER isn't working, you should get 3.

You are aware that the 12c is an RPN calculator? It uses ENTER to separate arguments, and the operation is put in after the arguments.

What equal sign? The only equal sign on an HP 12c is the x=0 (g CLx) which is a conditional, and of no signifcant use outside of a program.
