How to minimize the screen size to 800x600

If you have win 7 you can right click on the desktop and select "screen resolution". Then where it says "resolution" you click the drop down box and scroll it all the way down to the lowest resolution setting 800 x 600 and click apply. You may get a little box pop up that asks you if you would like to keep the settings click yes.

When I go onto the internet only half the page comes up, why is this happening

Maybe you need to adjust your screen resolution. Find the Display in the Control Panel and see if adjusting the screen resolution will help. The higher the resolution, the smaller things on the desktop appears, therefore more will appear.

I'm hoping you are not talking about Minimize and Maximize which is in the upper right hand corner of the window between the - and x. If so, you can click it to make the window bigger or smaller.

How do I make the welcome screen shorter, the width is fine, but the length is too long. It blocks anything that I minimize. Thank you

Check the screen resolution setting.
It should be the same as the native (hardware) resolution of your monitor.

Previous monitor 13 1/2" wide. I want to make

Check on the monitor for an auto button or function, this should reset the screen resolution to match the pc output, what resolution are you running at? 640x480 or 800x600 would be my choice for that size screen but try some of the higher resolutions in conjuction with the auto button to see if you can get the screen size you desire.

Screen is size is to large can't find minimize box

Not enough information. What window are you talking about? Press the "windows" button and the "M" key to minimize everything. Right mouse click on the center of the screen and select "properties". You can then change your resolution so that things fit properly.

Hi i want to widen my screen

The Resolution can be changed in Windows XP by minimizing all applications, right clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties. In the Display Settings window go to the Settings tab. Here you can change the resolution. I think you are wanting to use a widescreen setup so going for a resolution of 1280x800 should fill your screen. Play around with the available settings to resize the screen.

If you are using MS Vista, you need to minimize all applications to the desktop, right click, select Personalize. In the Personalize Window click on Display Settings down the bottom, modify the resolution as appropriate.

Alternatively, you may be able to find the function key that did this to your resolution. Above your F1-F12 keys there should be a little picture. If you click on the [fn] key (near the Windows key) as well as one of the F1-F12 keys you can cause different functions to be performed. This may be how the resolution changed initially.

Good luck

There is a pop up screen that says "OUT OF RANGE" and keeps moving from corner to corner around the screen. What do i need to do to fix this?

maybe your screen resolution doesn't match with the monitor resolution , so minimize you're screen resolution
maybe you can try with 800 * 600 and go up one by one and see which maximun it support
