hello . I have already uninstalled these programs and reinstalled them. Is that the same as drivers? It still does not work, and I know there is file corruption on driver or webcam. How do I fix this problem. Do i just uninstall programs associated with webcam? How is uninstalling driver different. I know that file corruption is prolem- thx for your help

  • calahara22 Feb 08, 2010

like I said before. I have already uninstalled programs and reinstalled them, and restarted. This did not fix problem, but one tech suggested uninstalling old driver, and installing cd driver again for my camera

  • calahara22 Feb 08, 2010

how do I do a system restore? you think that is my best option, I was considering doin multiple reboots inbetween installation and reinstallation, before I only do this once I think. one tech recommend that. Sytem restore sounds the easiest way, but i would like ur opinion on which to do. How do I know what drivers are associated with webcams???????????. thx - p.s. not important drivers are the same as programs or what?

To uninstall the driver, click the "Add or Remove" program (for Win XP) or "Programs and Feature" (for Win Vista).

The window will be populated with the list of drivers that are currently installed in your computer. Find the driver that you would like to delete or uninstall, click it once and then click the "Remove" or "Uninstall" button. You will see the progress of removing the driver.

Good luck and have a good evening!

That could be possible. Having similar drivers in one computer is possible. Unfortunately, there's no other place to go to in deleting the driver aside from "Add or Remove Program" or "Programs and Features".

But if you could not completely delete the driver, what you could do is to remember when the driver was installed and then perform a System Restore on the day before the driver installation was done.

Doing it would surely delete the old driver. However, any program that was installed in between the day of the driver was installed up to the present would be deleted.

But System Restore would be your last option. Try to delete every driver that is associated with the Web cam and see if that helps.

    Thank you and good luck!

Once you load the CD that came with the camera, you will see the name of the driver that's about to install. All related programs is under the same name.

To perform a System Restore, please follow the steps below:

    * Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

Again, you will be ask to go back or to select the date when you would like the most recent time the computer worked correctly. All applications (not files) that were installed in between the said date up to the present would be deleted.

    Thank you for the response!

Installed windows 7 all audio drivers are working, but no sound what could be wrong?

the drivers might have been corrupted by a virus or something foreign to your system run your antivirus program
then go to control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sounds video and game controllers ther might be a yellow ? question mark right click to update driver or
go into control panel administrive tools computer management then select event viewer depending on what operating sytem you have this may vary

If the ntdll.dll error only displays when you use a specific software program,
uninstall the program, reboot your computer, and then install the latest version again from scratch.

I have no sound and have run a hardware diognostics scan. The outcome is that there is an error in c:windowssystem32drivers vmfdx32.sys . I have been trying to find a download to fix this. Dont no a lot...

Your drivers for this computer somehow got corrupted, so pull out the installation discs that came with your computer.  You will have to do a search on these discs to find the system 32 driver file.  Then you copy and paste the file onto your hard drive directory to replace the old corrupted file.  See how that works for you old chap.
