1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)

Kodak mx 1063 how I charge from my pc,I have no separate charger

Yes, you may charge the battery by connecting the camera to a computer USB port. Bear in mind that not all computer USB ports supply enough current to charge the battery, however.

The shutter wont open

I think you have a CX1063 and not an MX since there is no such KODAK model. Please try these solutions: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)

My camera turns off right after i turn it on. it

Pls. use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).
Here are the steps:
1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera.
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Without the memory card, turn on your camera.

Unfortunantly KODAK do no longer repair this model. They offer a Trade up option where you for 25-30% cheaper than the listed price can exchange the camera to any newer model provided KODAK has the model in stock.

Hi, we just bought a new power cord for our camera and when we plug it in it blinks green once and red three times and then it doesn't charge. is there anything we can do to solve this problem? it is a...

Remove the memory card and the battery
Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth
Use the camera w/o the memory card

Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair.

Kodak Digital Camera M873. Works fine if connected to AC power through adapter. Turns off when disconnected. Seems like battery is not getting charged. Any one here with ideas other than changing battery?

This problem is frequently due to weak/worn out batteries or corroded battery terminals inside the camera. Before you purchase new batteries, remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning. Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/repair/troubleshooting/troubleshooting.jhtml?pq-path=6198

It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

Won't turn on at all, or shuts off after a few seconds? This problem is frequently due to weak/worn out batteries or corroded battery terminals inside the camera. if charging/replacing the batteries doesn't clear the problem, remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Blown sand in camera, blew out as much as i could.

You got to really clean it good. Probably the sand is in the lens extension preventing the lens to oppen. That is the problem.
