General connection from vcr to tv to satelite receiver

I have tried to hook up my jvc hr-j692u to my tv and my satelite receiver for some reason i cannot get a picture on playing a movie tape, i do however get the blue screen on my tv when i press play. I also get the text use cleaning cassette.I have also tried this and all through the cleaning cycle it still shows the "use cleaning cassette" My cleaning cassette is a Maxell vp-100 which has a video presentation while it cleans. This also does not view at this time.

My tv is currently hooked directly to a rf box (which is needed for the audio/video wires to hook up with my dvd and ps2) in which my coaxial cable goes to the tv out section on the vcr. The ant in on the vcr is hooked into the satelite receiver directly. The tv only has the one port.

How do you have it hooked up? are you using RCA jacks or coaxil cable? If you are running satellite to vcr and vcr to tv, the vcr must be on the input/av channel.
If vcr is hooked up via RCA jacks, then tv must be on AV/Input channel
If vcr is hooked up to tv with coaxil cable, then tv must be on channel 3 or 4.
Also the vcr should have a vcr/tv button that you can press and should change some things for you.

How do you remove a jammed VCR cartridge from the player

easiest way is to remove the top of the unit and see what it holding it in. Usually a spring. There will be about 6 screws to get the top off.

What kind of fuses are needed for JVC HR J692U VCR? Slow blow or fast acting? What termination style 1.25 a 250 volts.

I don't know what you mean on "termination style" but I can help you on the fuse type. If you have the dead fuse look inside and see if you can see a coil of wire. If you can it's a slow blow. If you haven't got it or it looks just like a broken wire or it's gone too much, then fit a fast blow. It won't make any difference. If it blows again after a new one is fitted then it's not because it's a fast blow. It means you have a short-circuited semiconductor somewhere causing it to blow.

I have a new digital tv. I connected the out

If you are connected by component cables (Yellow/Red/White) from video/audio out, then you will need to select that input selection on your TV, normally AV3. I would also advise using a scart connector from your video to your TV, this would be AV1 on your TV & should then automatically switch over to the Video channel when you press the play button.

How do I use my VCR with the DTV Converter Box that I had to get?

You only have three choices that I know of. The first two are a bit expensive though. 1) Buy a digital TV, then you could split your antenna cable to the TV and Converter box. Then use the converter box as the tuner for the VCR. 2) Buy a digital VCRand do the same thing using the converter box as the TV's tuner. or 3) Get a second Converter box and split the incoming cable between the two, using one for the TV and the other for the VCR. If you use any of these ideas, remember that You need to not have the VCR and the "new" tuner for the TV set to play on the same TV channel, and that you switch teh VCR out of VCR mode with the TV/VCR button, so that you get a clear signal on the other channel. If anyone has an easier solution, I too would like to know about it, seeing as I am in the same position and would like to avoid this problem as well.

Vcr does not respond to tv/vcr button on remote

You will not know from looking at the VCR if it is in VCR mode or TV mode. This is more likely a TV issue of whether the TV is monitoring the VCR or not. Make sure you have the TV selected so that it is monitoring the VCR.
That VCR/TV button has caused more confusion for the average person than anything else.
Hope Ya Fix It!
