Question about Jenn-Air Ovens

1 Answer

PROBLEM IS: Jenn Air wall oven: JMW9527 1) Erratic oven temperature; also (unforturately) intermittant. 2) When calling for 325", we get an oven temp of 260" or less about half the time (auto-convect and not auto-convect both) using Amprobe meter with bulb thermocouple. 3) Amprobe meter also records a range from 280" to 360" with a 325" setting; "relay ON to "relay" OFF. Impossible to bake bread! What would be the normal range? 4) Readout on control panel increases and remains at 375" as if operating normally. 5)Last night I set 375" and used a handheld, laser dot non-contact thermometer and it registered at the top oven surface, 360" and on the bottom oven surface, 210". This morning when the oven was cool I set 375" again to feel the upper and lower elements; both got warm/hot---bottom first and then the top after a 15 sec delay. Note: I am trying to locate a service manual. Any help you can give me for repair ideas and manual purchases will be very appreciated. Thank you. Dean Johnson 509 548 8605

7 yr old jenn-air wall oven locked shut, shut down

It will remain locked until the temperature is safely as low as it should be. You just have to wait and be patient.

Older jenn air wall unit oven / turn knob

Yes, I just had same problem. The probe receptical is on the right inside wall of the oven. A little flapper door is secured by a single phillips screw. Remove this screw and the flapper door. Gently remove the receptical and its attached cable adapter. With your screw driver short the connector extension to the housing, just as the probe would. This should reset the meal temperature sensor. Try the bake and problem should be gone. If not permanently short this connection with a wire. You won't be able to use your probe, but the oven will work.

Jenn-Air Wall Oven Model #WW30430P F5 Fault Code

I have the exact same problem with an F5 fault code. I also have a new clock assembly. RepairClinic.com said "Jenn Air fault code F5 = Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree / Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC)

Jenn Air Fault code for newer models F5 = Power to element relays disabled in cook mode
1. Intermittent oven temperature sensor or wire harness or,
2. Intermittent contact on power relay board"
This doesn't help since it is too technical. What should I do next?
