Question about U.S. Robotics US Robotics Sportster 56K V.90 External Modem (USR568603)
I'm using dial-up internet connection and trying to install a new internal modem. The installation (cd i got with it) seems to work just fine, but AOL will not find the modem... HELP.,
This could be one of many things, but my first suggestion is this.
Open up your Device Manager:
Right click My Computer and select Properties - click on the hardware tab - click the Device Manager button.
Inside your Device Manager check to see if your Modem has a yellow or red icon next to it...
If so open the properties for your modem and click on the resources tab. This page will tell you if the devices IRQ number is conflicting with any other devices.
If the IRQ number is the problem try changing it, then re-booting your computer.....
