Question about Kenmore 63942 Dryer
I have a Kenmore Series 70 dryer. When i push the button to start it just hums, but doesn't start. i took the top off and it isn't the belt. what else could it be?
Check for correct voltage at the terminal block on the back of the dryer, where the power cord attaches to the dryer. You should be getting 220/240 volts, check by way of a voltage tester.
If the voltage is correct, then could be the motor capacitor or the motor itself, or start button?
Good Luck !
