Question about Magellan Maestro 4210 GPS Receiver

1 Answer

Half of the screen is white

I have a Magellan Maestro 4210 which I am very pleased with. After several months of inactivity when I turned it on, only half of the screen was readable and the other half was white. Is it repairable or is it shot?

Try this, turn the unit on and off two times, see if this corrects the problem.
Make sure the unit is fully charged also.

Now, after the unit is fully charged, and you try as I said above, you have one more option.

Look on the top and bottom of the unit for a pin hole that says reset,
if the unit has a reset hole, stick a paper clip in it for 30 seconds.

If you still have a problem, there is a software update and a map update for the unit, you can do this, or just email the company and tell them your problem and see what they will do.

After reading your manual, I don't see a restore to original condition,
so I seem to think your best option is to contact them and send in the unit.

This is the support page for the company, manual, updates, but you can go to the right side and get help with repair.

Good luck.

Megellan Maestro 4210 gps slow to find current location

I recommend you to reset it . Resetting should solve this problem .

Here is how to reset your Maestro :

1:Locate the button marked "Reset" on the left, right or bottom of the unit.
2:Using a thin object, such as a paper clip, depress the button for two to three seconds. The unit should reset.
3:If the unit does not reset, immediately press the button again and hold it for up to 10 seconds.
