Water in bottom of refrigerator

I have this exact same problem on my Kenmore fridge. I have determined the problem is that the water is leaking from the freezer, which is on top of the fridge. Here are some POSSIBLE solutions (though I'll say they didn't work for me, others told me they fixed this problem by trying these things):

1) Remove everything from the freezer, turn the freezer OFF, and leave the door open (if possible) for 24 hours. Let all the ice melt and clean the freezer.

2) Clean the unit that cools the compresser underneath the fridge. There are several fans and heat sinks where dust is easily trapped. The best way to clean is with an air compresser or powerful shop vac that can blow all the dust out.

Again, neither of these solutions worked for me, but they were given to me by others who said it worked for them. My solution to the problem was to place a plastic cup in the fridge and let the water drip into it; then empty the cup once a week.

I hope this helps.

We have several Farberware FSU255 coffee urns in church kitchen usage. Have had some problems reported with the water not perking through the coffee grounds resulting in only hot water and frustration....

I have the older style 55 cup coffeemaker. It is critical that the coffee grounds basket compress that spring on the stem. Pull the spring upward alittle until the basket rises slightly above it's seated position until you put the lid on and it will put the necessary pressure on the stem down in the heater element hole. Also there is what appears to be a loose washer on the bottom of that stem (where it fits into the heater unit) This washer must be free to move around and it acts like a check valve to prevent water that has "perked" up the stem from falling back down the stem.

Kenmore refrigerator model 363.9711781 water appears daily

This water comes from a plugged up defrost drain tube. Do you see like a cup at the back of your refrigerator connecting using a plastic tube in a hole at the back of your refrigerator ? This cup collects dripping water from your freezer during a defrost cycle - you will notice a hole above it on the ceiling - what drips into this cup and drains out back the hole in your refrigerator wall and into a long drain tube extending down into the drip pan at the bottom of your refrigerator, usually sits ontop of the compressor or in newer systems next to the condenser fan and evaporates. If this drain tube is plugged up with debris water will backflow back into your fridge and drip against the wall and under your cripsers.

During a defrost cycle (when you hear the sizzling sounds and all motors are off, open the door and you should notice water dripping.

If you can manually remove the cup yourself you can pass a piece of pipe cleaner or long cable and dislodge whatever is blocking it or if you can't do that you will need to have it serviced, sometimes there is a seal around base of the plastic tube it's best you don't touch or break it. Makes ure the cup is firmly connected and inserted into the hole, you can try raising the fridge a bit, the front part so it is slightly inclined to back. If all fails, have it serviced, it is a very simply problem easy to repair and common too.

The drain is clogged up. Check the clear plastic line that goes from the back to the drip pan on the bottom of the unit.

Kenmore dishwasher 15899100

Dennis, Im assuming your model number starts with 665. This model had a service flash on it regarding the upper spray arm. The upper spray arm has been redesigned for better performance. Part number 8269022. This could be covered by Sears if you mention the service flash, 22-714. Other issues that can lead to this problem are; water hardness, if your water is over 7 grains of hardness, this could to this film on the glasses. Try pouring 1/4 cup of Glass Majic into the bottom of the dishwasher. Also run one cup of white vinegar to clean the dishwasher. Make sure the water temp. entering the dishwasher is 120 min. to 150 degrees. Catriver..post back.
